Mrs. Wilma Jean Franklin, daughter of the late Willie and Sarah Smith Murphy, was born October 15, 1934 at Seco, Kentucky, and she departed this life on Monday, December 21, 2015 having attained the age of 81 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Jesse Franklin, he survives. Other survivors include; one son, Donald “Don” (and Tracy) Franklin of Somerset, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Hannah (and Brian) Denney, Rebecca (and Jeremy) Waters, Sarah (and Adam) Padgett, and Jesse Allan Franklin, also surving is one Step-granddaughter, Allison Sadler, four sisters, Betty Murphy of Brunswick, OH, Reba Fay Murphy of Kent, OH, Willene Murphy of Parma, OH, and Peggy Mangam of Brunswick, OH and four great grandchildren.
Wilma worked for many years with Lorane Products, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery at Nancy, Kentucky immediately following the service.
