Leonard Wayne Burton, of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at his home. He was 65.
​
Born on April 24, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late James O. and Darlene Wells Burton. Leonard was a truck driver. He attended Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene Martin Burton; a son, Kenneth Cody Wayne (Melissa) Burton; a daughter, Brandy (Jeremy) Carman; two step-sons, Brian (Jaime) Moran and Tim (Tonya) Moran; two step-daughters, Kitty (Randy Edwards) Paris and Stephanie (Jeremy Ayres) Moran; a grandchild, Emmalynn Carman; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Darrell Ray Burton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Dallas James “Jimmy” Burton; a sister, Tiffany Kitchens; and his maternal grandparents that raised him, Cecil Ambrose and Esther Mae Thompson Wells.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Brown & Bro. Rodney Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be James Burton, Travis Burton, Brian Moran, Dewayne Burton, Michael Farmer, and Bruce Edwards.
Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Woods, Phillip Chapman, and Mike Hatter.

William Ural Mullins, age 92, of, Richmond KY, passed away on Tuesday January 31st, 2023, at the V.A. Medical Center. He was born December 11th, 1930, in Marion Co., KY, a son of the late Elton and Hazel Whitlock Mullins.

William was a retired District Manager for Dollar General and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Survivors include: His Spouse: Dorothy Lear Mullins, One Son: Randy Mullins of Liberty, Two Grandchildren: Kimberly and (Michael) Carrier and Teneshia Mullins, Three Great Grandchildren: Sophie Carrier, Jerred Oney and Dalton Jenkins, One Sister: Donna Brown of Shepherdsville and One Stepdaughter: Linda and (Rex) Turner of Richmond.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was his First Spouse: Geneva McAnelly Mullins who passed away on November 14, 1994, One Sister: Carolyn Henderson and One Stepson: Sammy Vaughn.

Visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday February 3rd, 2023, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday February 3rd, 2023, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.

Elnora Burton 1934-2023

Elnora Burton, 88 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away January 31, 2023, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born May 9, 1934, in Adair County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Moss and Lena (Burton) Burton, Sr. She married Arnold Burton on August 6, 1952, and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2010.
 
She is survived by her sons, Maxie Burton of Peoga, Indiana, Galen (Susie) Burton of Franklin, Indiana, and William A. “W.A.” (Shelley) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, daughters, Cathy A. (Jimmy) Weathers of Franklin, Indiana, Marilyn (Randy) Carter of Stinesville, Indiana, and Marianne (Dan) Phillips of Edinburgh, Indiana, 21 grandchildren, and several great and great-great grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Mark D. Burton, 4 grandchildren, brothers, Moss Burton, Jr and Luther Burton, and sisters, Alma Hood, Cecil Knight, Elzada Badger, Annie Burton, Zannie Estes, Beatrice Badger, and Naomi Weber.
 
Elnora attended Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church and Calvary Christian Church, both in Edinburgh. She had worked at David R. Webb Company in Edinburgh and Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She enjoyed shopping, quilting, and yard sales.
 
A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Randy Denton ay 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Arrangements made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana.

John Thomas Skaggs Sr., age 75 of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Spring View Hospital. He was born July 20, 1947 in Spencer County to the late Marvin and Mary Evelyn Skaggs. John was lifelong caretaker of Ryder Cemetery in Lebanon.. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Lebanon.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Jean Skaggs; sisters, Betty Turner and Mary Slack; and brothers, Richard Lee Skaggs and Allen Skaggs.

Survivors include his son, John Skaggs Jr.; daughters, Sherri (Troy) Hamilton and Rebecca (Tony) Bell; wife, Donna Skaggs; brother, Jimmy Skaggs; sisters, Christine Mae Smothers, Barbara Jean Hornback, Margaret Ann Coffman, Debbie Lynn Lanham, and Dianne Spalding; grandchildren, Brianna (Justin) Johnson, Aaron (Alexis) Hamilton, Natalie (Anthony) Martell, Anthony “Bud” Bell, and Logan Bell; great-grandchildren, Campbell Johnson, Collins Johnson, and Maeva Martell; and step-children, David Reardon, Toby Reardon and Travis Keeling.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 04, 2023 at Bosley Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Proctor officiating. Interment will follow in Ryder Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, February 03, 2023 at Bosley Funeral Home.

Linda Faye Boston 1940-2023

Linda Faye Boston of Campbellsville, formerly of Bowling Green, KY, was the daughter of the late Aubrey Smith and Hattie Smith.  Linda was born June 17, 1940 in Warren County Kentucky.  She departed this life at 6:05 AM Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in Campbellsville.  Age: 82 Linda Smith grew up in Bowling Green, KY where she met and married her life partner, Dempsey "Bud" Boston.  They embarked on their marriage journey in 1955.  To this union was born 3 children, Terry Boston (Deceased) Tonia Gaddis (Allen) and Travis Boston (Jay).  Linda was an active homemaker, she had a green thumb for flowers and plants and served many years in the banking industry.  After the death of her husband Bud and then her oldest son Terry, she moved to Campbellsville to be closer to Tonia and her kids.

Linda took great pride in her home and was often on the cutting edge of fashion and design in decorating her home.  She was a faithful and loving spouse, mother and grandmother.  In her later years she very much enjoyed traveling with her family and she loved to tell them stories of her childhood and the early days of her and Bud's marriage.

Linda had professed faith in Christ and attended church with Allen and Tonia as her health allowed.  She used to enjoy going to hear Allen sing in the Gospel group he was a part of.

Linda leaves to honor and cherish her memory her daughter Tonia (Allen) and her son Travis (Jay). Her brother, Doyle Smith, her Nephew Mark Smith (Liz) and her great niece Maddie.  Her legacy also includes five Grandchildren: Joel (Deceased), Jessa, Jaxon, June, and Jenny Gaddis and a great nephew, Vincent Smith (Deceased).  Linda was proceeded in death by 2 other brothers who died in early childhood, Rodney and Wendell.

The family will receive friends and family 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. (EST), Thursday February 2, 2023, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville.  There will be an additional visitation Friday  11AM - 2 PM (CST) at Hardy & Sons Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.  We will all celebrate Linda's life at 2:00 P.M. Friday with her son- in- law, Allen Gaddis officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green.

Clayton James Arnett 1939-2023

Clayton James Arnett of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Lewis T. Arnett and Mary Goldie Nelson Arnett, was born Saturday, September 9, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at his home. He was 83 years, four months, and 22 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Holly Grove Baptist Church. He was a tractor mechanic for many years and worked at the John Deere Garage in Greensburg and Hardyville.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Terry Arnett of Campbellsville, J.D. and Sherry Arnett of Magnolia; two daughters and a son-in-law: Laura Young of Danville, Michelle and Wade Rodgers of Greensburg; twelve grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; four sisters: Kathryn Simpson of Central City, Ruby Milby of Leitchfield, Ruth Simpson of Greensburg, Nettie Creason of Greensburg; two brothers: Raymond Arnett of Greensburg and Noah Arnett of Center; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Martha Edwards and Virginia Akin; five brothers: Frank Arnett, Woodson Arnett, Robert Arnett, Carl Arnett, and Edgar Arnett.

The funeral services for Clayton James Arnett will be conducted 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Leslie Jewell and Bro. Neal Price officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Friday until time of the funeral service.

John Alan Osborne, 64, of Russell Springs, passed away Monday, January 30th, at his home. 

John was born in Russell Springs, KY on December 29, 1958, a son of Brenda (Wesley) Wilson, of Jamestown, KY and the late John W. Osborne. 

He served in the U.S. Army, he was a retired pastry chef better known as the "Donut Man" 

John is survived by 
mother Brenda Wilson, of Jamestown, KY. 
stepmother Peggy Osborne, of Morehead, KY 
a brother, James (Shannon) Osborne, of Russell Springs, KY. 

He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his father John W. Osborne. 

Graveside Services will be held on Friday February 3, 2023, 10:00 AM at the Russell Springs City Cemetery with Bro. Jason (Bucky) Walters officiating.

Maxine Bledsoe 1921-2023

Maxine Bledsoe, of Jamestown, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation, in Jamestown. She was 101 years of age.
​
Born on November 14, 1921, in Creelsboro, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Trixie Flatt Back. Maxine was a retired factory worker and a faithful servant of Creelsboro Christian Church. For a short time, she was also a teacher at the Rockhouse one room school. Maxine loved her family dearly, and devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Maxine is survived by her son, Steve (and Teresa) Bledsoe, of Russell Springs; her daughter, Lynda Bledsoe, of Russell Springs; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, Geneva Ballard of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Bledsoe, who passed away on November 11, 1972; her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca (and Tommy) Rogers; and three brothers.

Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until time of services on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home.
Roger Back, Dean Back, Barry Back, Jake Hughes, Patric Hughes, and Larry Bledsoe, will serve as pallbearers.

Donna Kay Patterson of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Austin Franklin and Christal Katie Neagle Franklin, was born on Friday, March 9, 1956 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at her home. She was 66 years, 10 months, and 20 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was also a former woodworker for the former Clark Casual Furniture and Cox’s Cabinets.

Survived by her husband of 50 years, Johnny O’Neal Patterson of Greensburg having united in marriage on March 10, 1972.
Other survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jonathon Shane and Dana Neat Patterson of Columbia, and Floyd Lucas Patterson of Greensburg; special daughter: Alyssa Kay Patterson and wife, Megan Marie of Greensburg; special son: Todd Franklin of Florida; three grandchildren: Cloe Lane Patterson, Brandon Patterson, Briana Goldsmith, two great-grandchildren: Jade Goldsmith and Haven Goldsmith; a brother and sister-in-law: Carlie Clifton and Wanda Franklin of Campbellsville; a sister: Diane Franklin of Greensburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Colleen Brady, Bethel Alive Franklin, and Rosa Lee Patterson.

The funeral services for Donna Kay Patterson will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Bro. Roger Robertson officiating.

Emma Lay Sutherlin, of Stanford, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at The Willows of Harrodsburg. She was 81.

Born on May 16, 1941, in Danville, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Adell Murphy Lay. Emma was a member of Trace Fork Separate Baptist Church and a former member of First Baptist Church in Arnold, Missouri. She enjoyed traveling, babysitting, and talking.

She is survived by three brothers, Marshall Leigh, Preston (Earlene) Lay, and Glendon (Katie) Lay; three sisters, Linda Helm, Lecia (Stephen) True, and Sheila (Johnny) Hogue; special friends, Cheryl and Justin Altrogge; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Sutherlin; three brothers, Terry Lay, Gary Lay, and John Lay; and a sister, Betty Warner.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 3, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Frazier and Bro. Steve Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Caney Fork Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 3, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
