Joe Davis Hadley, 77, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Saturday, April 27th, at his residence. Joe was born in Jamestown, KY on August 17, 1941, a son of the late Nola (Holt) and Arlo Hadley.

He was a Truck Driver

Joe is survived by  three sons Roger Hadley, of Russell Springs, KY; Robert Hadley, of Phoenix, AZ; Rodney Hadley, of Greensburg, KY; 
three sisters, Joyce Withers, and Clemmie Rose, of Russell Springs, KY; Mary Lois Vaughn, of London, KY. 
He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Madonna,,Morgan and Makaylah Hadley, Johnathon and Wesley Davis, 2 great grandchildren Callie and Jason Conover as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends

He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Glen, Edwin and Gary Hadley and 1 sister Jean Craig.

Religious Service at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Russell Springs, KY, at 12:00pm on Wednesday, May 1st, with Bro. Richard Morgan and Bro. Bodie Emerson officiating. 

Friends may visit Wednesday 9:00am.till time of service at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. 
Family request memorial donations be made to the Joe Davis Hadley Funeral Fund and can be made at the church.

Interment at Mt.Pleasant Church Cemetery Russell Springs, KY.

Jacquelene Wilson Simpson, 87, of Russell Springs, died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Russell County Hospital. She was born January 23, 1932 in Russell County.

Jacquelene was a homemaker and a member of Clear Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents: Otha & Rose Richards Wilson, her husband, Robert Simpson; 3 sisters, Mary Tompkins, Golda Tompkins, and Juanita Wilson.

Survivors
2 sons: Ricky (Pam) Gasaway, Russell Springs
            Leslie (Dawn) Simpson, Russell Springs
2 granddaughters: Brenda Ruckel, Stanford, Ky
                              Kelsey Simpson, Russell Springs
1 grandson: Matthew Simpson, Russell Springs
1 great granddaughter: Christy Alexis Ruckel, Stanford, Ky

Funeral service for Jacquelene Wilson Simpson will be 1:00 PM. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Molden officiating.
Visitation 11 AM. to 1 PM. Wednesday.
Interment in the Clear Springs Cemetery.

Ronald M. Waldeck

Mr. Ronald M. Waldeck of Prospect, Kentucky (also of Green County), son of the late Wilburn Waldeck and Anna Moody Waldeck, was born on Tuesday, January 11, 1944 in Jefferson County, Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. He was 75 years of age.

Ron was a graduate of Manuel High School and received his Bachelor’s degree from the
University of Louisville. He was a truck fleet salesman for Ford Motor Company and All
State Ford prior to retiring from Heritage Ford in 2016.

Ron was a graduate of Manual High School and received his Bachelor’s degree from the
University of Louisville Speed Scientific School. He was employed by Ford Motor Company and All State Ford prior to retiring from Heritage Ford in 2016.

Survived by his wife: Sharry Judd Waldeck of Prospect, also of Green County; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jason and Melissa Waldeck, and Keith Waldeck; a daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Danny Smith; grandchildren: Jenna and Carsten Waldeck, Cooper and Edyn Smith; a sister: Frances Simons; and a nephew: Mark Simons; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Waldeck was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Howard Simons.

A memorial visitation will be conducted from 3 P.M. until 6 P.M., Central Time, Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. Ratterman and Brothers Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Rd, Louisville in charge of Louisville arrangements. 502-893-5644

Tommie Arthur Lyle age 56 of Edmonton passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at his home.   Born in Cleveland, Ohio he was the son of the late Owen and Agnes Whitehead Lyle.  

Tommie was a Computer Programmer.  

He is survived by a sister Loretta Parson of Waverly, Tennessee and a girlfriend Becki Gerace of Columbia, Kentucky.    He is also survived by one nephew, two nieces and one great niece.   

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother David Lyle.  

A celebration of life service will be held May 12th beginning at 9:00 AM until the evening hours at his residence, 232 Baker St.  Edmonton, Kentucky.   

​The family request that memorial contributions be made to the family to cover final expenses.    

Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton is in charge of arrangements.

Cathy Jo Turner, 60, of Columbia, KY died Monday, April 29, 2019 at T. J. Health Columbia.  Born in Franklin, IN she was the daughter of the late William Charles Costello and Velva Bryant Burton of Columbia who survives.  In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother William Charles Costello, Jr and two great-grand babies waiting for her in heaven.
 
Cathy attended the Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ Church.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
 
Survivors include her husband Rufus “Bill” Turner; two daughters Shelly Yarberry (Mike Schorman) and Christy Burton (Kevin) both of Columbia, KY; seven grandchildren Jeremy Burton (Brittany), Brooklynn Willis (K C), Kaylee Burton, Keaton Burton, Braxleigh Burton, Marcus Yarberry and Gracie Schorman; three great-grandchildren Rylee Willis, Isabella Burton and Dallas Burton; two brothers Jeff Costello of Russell Springs, KY and Robert Campbell of Columbia; a sister Sandra England (Terry) of Edinburgh, IN; special family friends Janie, Nick, Haley, D J and Donnie Curry all of Columbia and several nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Bearwallow Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home and will continue on Wednesday morning until time for the service.
 
Bro Ralph Foster and Bro. Terry England will be officiating and pallbearers will be Nick Curry, Brian Burton, Jeremy Burton, K. C. Willis, James Walker and Donnie Curry.

Pamela G. Johnson, 61, of Jamestown, KY passed away Saturday, April 27th, at her residence. 

Pamela was born in Toronto, Canada on September 8, 1957, a daughter of Anthony Amadeo, of Canada and the late Joan (Platt) Amadeo.

She was a Dietary Aide before retiring.

Pamela is survived by 
four daughters, Casey Leeper, of Jamestown, KY; 
Jessy Ringham, of Indianapolis,IN; 
Leslie Leeper, of Franklin,IN; 
Jody Johnson, of Russell Springs, KY. 
three sons Tony Leeper, of Morgantown,IN; John and Ben Johnson,of Russell Springs, KY

Her brothers and sisters Mike,Brian, Lee, Lynn and Jena.
19 Grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her mother, a son Christopher Leeper and a daughter Lisa Leeper.

Friends may visit Wednesday 5:00 to 8:00pm. at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY

The family chose care and cremation.

Bernice Loy, 84, of Columbia, KY died Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Summitt Manor Nursing and Rehab.  Born in Columbia, KY she was the daughter of the late Rollin and Virgie Corbin Montgomery and wife of the late Robert Jesse Loy. 

Mrs. Loy was a member of the Columbia Christian Church, Ladies Rug Group and the Decorating Committee at the Columbia Christian Church.  Bernice loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include a son Dennis Loy (Lisa) of Columbia, KY; two grandchildren Dustin Warren (Gracie) and Grant Loy both of Columbia, KY; two great-grandchildren Emmitt and Colt Warren; a half-brother Robert Montgomery (JoAnn) of Columbia; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special double first cousin Shirley Morrison (Bobby) of Columbia 

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three siblings Mary Lee Cundiff, Carl Montgomery and Jean Austin Montgomery.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 4:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Bro. Terry White, Bro. Adam Shepherd and Bro. Tim Johnson will be officiating and pallbearers will be Norman Akin, Barry Loy, Randy Cundiff, Robert Montgomery, Bobby Morrison and Chris Bragg.  Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Loy, Roger Cundiff, David Pyles, Phillip Akin, Evelyn Dillingham, the Ladies Rug Group and the Decorating Committee at the Columbia Christian Church.

Rodney Burress of Elk Horn, son of Bobby Lee Burress and Dorothy Jean Wethington Burress was born September 4, 1960 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 3:28 P.M., Friday, April 26, 2019 in Elk Horn. Age: 58

He professed faith in Christ and attended Feathersburg Church of God.

Rodney held many jobs including the Road Department from 1986-1989,Taylor County Jailer from 1990 – 2005 and Taylor County Circuit Court Clerk from 2005 until his retirement in 2018; but his true passion was farming with his dad, brother and sons. Rodney was a gentle giant with a servant heart who offered assistance to many people; he stood up for his beliefs about God and country and was a strong supporter of the Circuit Court Clerks program: Kentucky Trust for Life. Rodney was also a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

He united in marriage to Toni Carol Miller, March 10, 1984.

Besides his wife, Toni Burress of Elk Horn, he is survived by two sons: Adam Burress and wife, Amanda and Matt Burress and wife, Megan; four grandchildren: Andrew Blake Burress, Peyton Lee Burress, Mason Alexander Burress and Adalynn Grace Burress; his parents, Bobby and Dorothy Burress; one brother, Allen Burress and wife, Kecia all of Elk Horn; his mother-in-law, Rose Miller and brother-in-law, Tommy Miller of Liberty; sister-in-law, Debbie Miller of Shelbyville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Maitlynn Leigh Burress, February 21, 2012 and one sister, Sandy Burress Davis, December 21, 2017.

Donnie Cox of Campbellsville, son of the late Lester L. Cox and Ruth Gore Cox was born January 9, 1953 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 7:35 A.M., Friday, April 26, 2019 in Bardstown. Age: 66

He had professed faith in Christ and attended Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church when he was able.

Donnie struggled with mental illness most of his life.

He is survived by his daughter, Renee Cox. He is also survived by one brother, Larry G. Cox; one nephew, Ben Cox and wife, Shannon and one niece, Lorna Bush and husband Greg all of Campbellsville.

James William “Bill” Colvin

James William “Bill” Colvin was born January 24, 1942 in Marion County KY to the late Bradley and Agnes Puryear Colvin. He departed this life Saturday, April 27, 2019 at his home in Greenburg, having attained the age of seventy-seven years, three months and three days.

He had made a profession of faith and was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Greensburg. He was a graduate of Campbellsville College and the University of Louisville School of Law. He began practicing law in Greensburg in 1973 and continued until 2017. He was best known by his family as being a loving and devoted husband, wonderful father, and doting Papaw to his grandchildren and great grandchild. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one son: Steven Trent Colvin.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Margaret Lois Pendleton Colvin, one daughter and son-in-law: Connie Shuffett and her husband Stanley Robert Shuffett, three grandchildren: Kiley and Daniel Bennett, Alex and Kenzie Colvin and Landon and Kaitlyn Shuffett and one great grandchild: Fischer Trent Colvin, two brothers and six sisters: William Cleatus and Linda Colvin, Donald and Pam Colvin, Viola Brown, Pauline and Dave Renn, Margaret and Paul Brockman, Sue Colvin, Wanda and Johnny Abell and Barbara and Mike Shaw, one sister-in-law: Jean Pendleton Blakeman, one brother-in-law: James Pendleton and very special friends: Wayne and Beverly Edwards and Ron and Pat Rodgers, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
