Michael Wayne Flanagan, 63, of Russell Springs, died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. He was born September 4, 1951 in Somerset, Ky to the late Glendo Wesley and Doris

Bernard Flanagan. He was a land surveyor and a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Judd; a brother-in-law, David "Chigger" Judd; a nephew, David Judd; and a great nephew, Jayden Judd

Survivors include
wife: Kathy Ann Foley Flanagan, Russell Springs

2 daughters: Bethanie Flanagan and Mariam Leah Flanagan, both of Somerset

1 grandson: Ethan Wade Hunter

1 nephew: Jonathan Judd, Russell Springs

Funeral service for Michael Wayne Flanagan will be 1 PM. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dan Flanagan and Bro. Joe Sullivan officiating.

Visitation after 6 PM. Monday.

Interment in the McBeath Cemetery.

Paul A. Foley, 83, of the Webbs Cross Roads community, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the
Russell County Hospital. He was a retired farmer, devoted family man, loyal Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Reds fan and a respected member of the community. He was a Veteran of US. Army.

He was born April 21, 1932 in Russell County. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Thelma Withers Foley; his parents, Eastman Foley, Jr. and Clarice Foley and 2 brothers, Godfrey Foley, Lloyd Eastman Foley.

Survivors include
2 daughters: Debbie Carol Foley and Paula Denise Foley, both of Russell Springs
sister: Arnelda (Cecil) Thornton, Milford, Ohio
sister-in-law: Bonnie Foley-Robertson, Russell Springs
brother-in-law: Bro. Hugh (Jeanette) Withers, Shepherdsville, Ky
Lots of very special neices, nephews, cousins and friends.

Paul professed his faith in Christ later in life. He was a honest hard working man who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Funeral service for Paul A. Foley will be 2 PM. Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Hugh Withers and Bro. Randy Brown officiaitng.

Visitation after 11 AM. Monday.

Burial in the New Friendship Cemetery with full military honors.

GARY WARE, 73 of the Glensfork Community of Adair County, Kentucky passed away
Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 4:35 am at the Summit Manor Health and Rehab Center in Columbia, KY after several months illness.

He was born December 26, 1941 in Centralia, West Virginia the son of the late Henderson Jackson and Lexi Candy Wyatt Ware of West Virginia

Mr. Ware was a US Army veteran and was a retired X-ray technician for various area hospitals, a Kentucky Colonel and member of the American Legion in Gallatin, Tennessee

Survived by one daughter: Judy Vance of Columbia, KY

Two sons: William David Ware of Columbia, KY and Jason D. Ware of Russell Springs, KY

One brother: Harold Ware of Medina, Ohio

Eight grandchildren Lexie Ware, Ashley Ware, Courtney Vance, Kaylee Vance, Chloe Vance, Madison Ware, Jordin Ware, Braxton Ware

Funeral service: Monday, August 3, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Clergy officiating: Rev. Craig Trumbo

Carol Sue Bennett, 60, of Columbia, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at 4:44 A.M. at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room.  

She was born January 12, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Lee & Delcie Jessie England.  She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.

April Denise Washburn, age 50 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Spring View Hospital. She was born on November 11, 1964 in Norfolk, Virginia.

April was a member of the Lebanon First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Eugene Washburn, Sr.

Survivors include her mother, Betty Joyce Washburn, of Lebanon, KY; two brothers, Frank Eugene "Gene" Washburn, Jr. and James "Jay" Washburn, both of Lebanon.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Bosley Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Anthony Gilbert. Interment to follow in Ryder Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Lebanon First Christian Church Memorial Fund.

Peggy Ann Tarter, 78, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Harrodsburg Health & Rehab Center in Harrodsburg. She was born November 14, 1936 in Russell County to the late Earl A. & Alpha Foley. She was a a former resident of Russell and Casey Counties.

She owned & operated Tarter's Grocery in Dunnville, Ky for over 53 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Tarter and 2 sisters, Lucille & Earlene Foley.

Survivors
sister: Ola Mae (Arnold) Martin, Junction City, Ky.
neice: Susan L. Coe, Borden, IN.
3 nephews: Richard E. Coe, Bell County, Ky.;Johnny Coe, Russell County, Ky.; and Roger L. Coe. Madison, AL.
5 great nephews-2 great neices-2 great great nephews-4 great great nieces.
Host of cousins

The family chose cremation.
There will be no visitation or funeral serice.

Thomas W. Polston, 58, passed away on July 18, 2015 in Jametown, KY.
Thomas was born in Albany, KY Feb. 10, 1957 a son to the late Emma (Mills) and Tommy Robert Polston.
Thomas was a factory worker.

He is survived by a brother Phillip (Sarah) Polston, of Jamestown, KY.
an aunt, several cousins, and many friends.

A Gathering for Friends will be Tue. July 28, 2015, 5:00pm to 7:00pm at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY.

Keith A. Hancock, Columbia, KY passed away on July 25, 2015 at Rudd Heart & Lung Center Louisville, KY after a brief illness.

He was born November 27, 1957 to the late Gaither W. and Myrtle V. (Watson) Hancock. He married Barbara Bryant on April 6, 1985. She lovingly survives. 

He was also preceded in death by his sister Jeanice Murrell and an infant brother, Warren Hancock

Besides his wife Barbara Bryant Hancock he is survived by the following:
One sister Brenda F. Brumley of Jamestown, Ky .
Three nephews, Michael, Christopher and Brian Brumley all of Kentucky
His mother-in-law & father-in-law, Arvil and Della Fay Bryant of Fanklin, IN.
His brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Michael and Sandra Bryant of Franklin, IN. 
Two nieces, Desiree Oesterling & Justina Hartell of Indiana

Mr. Hancock was born in Campbellsville, KY. He enjoyed his profession as a Physical Therapist's Assistant, having worked at various local hospitals and home health agencies.

Mildred "Millie" Cravens

Mildred “Millie” Mae Wilson Cravens, wife of Harold Cravens, went into eternal rest to be with the Lord on Friday, July 24, 2015 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was 73. 

Mildred was born in Pulaski County on April 8, 1942 to the late Milford Wilson, Sr. and Dollie Phelps Wilson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin Wilson and Milford Wilson, Jr. She was a long time clerk for Hill’s Pharmacy in Liberty and a member of the Watson’s Chapel Christian Church. 

Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Harold Cravens; her daughter, Patricia (husband, Charles) Nunmaker; son, Mark A. (wife, Amy) Cravens, Sr.; grandchildren; Jenna and Finn Nunmaker, Mark, Jr., Allison and Matthew Cravens; two brothers, Gerald (wife, Wanda) Wilson and William G. (wife, Carol) Wilson; and a host of nieces and nephews.  

The family would like to thank Lesley Wesley for her love, support and devotion throughout this difficult time. They would also like to thank the community and Valley Oak Church members for opening their door and hearts for the meal after the service. 

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at McKinney Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Sherman Floyd and Bro. Randy Atwood officiating. Burial will follow at the Valley Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Monday at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be Roger Durham, Steve Hill, Finn Nunmaker, Joey and Steve Cravens, and Gerald Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jenna Nunmaker, Mark Cravens, Jr., Allison Cravens, and Matthew Cravens. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
