Kaye Anderson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Hubert Sapp and Ada Maupin Sapp, was born October 14, 1944 in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 10:15 P.M., Sunday, May 31, 2015 in Lebanon. Age: 70

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church.

She was a retired manager of Campbellsville Manor.

She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Eldon Benningfield of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Lorene Caulk of Campbellsville; four nephews and three nieces: Sam Benningfield of Sparta, Tennessee, Ron Benningfield, Doug Caulk, Chris Caulk, Cheryl Magers, Jeanne Brown and Libby Caulk of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Bobby Caulk June 28, 2008 and Dorothy Jean Caulk June 1, 1959;a niece, Marsha Kay Benningfield July 2, 2011 and a nephew, Stevie Caulk in 1953.

Benny Gresham

Benny Gresham of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015. He was 50.

Born November 15, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Benjamin Luther Gresham Sr. and Margaret Clementine Wethington Gresham Foster. He was a carpenter and enjoyed fishing. Benny is helping others by being a organ donor.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Angela Gresham of Cincinnati, Ohio, two daughters, Stephanie (and Jack) Coe and Jenna Gresham both of Cincinnati, Ohio; two grandchildren, Andi and Jaxson; and two brothers, Joe (and Mary Ann) Wethington of Ohio and Charles Thomas Wethington.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a step-father, Jessie Foster.

Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Father Edmond Ani officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until funeral service.

Osburn Roy, 75, of Russell Springs, died Saturday, May 30, 2015 at his home. He was born August 13,1939 in Russell County to the late Leventus & Ercie Gosser Roy.

He was a retired banker having worked as Senior Vice President and Branch Manager at Bank of Jamestown.

He was a member of Union Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Obren Lee Roy.

George Monroe Powell

George Monroe Powell, age 56, was born June 2, 1958 in Wayne County. He is the son of, Lois Davis Powell who survives. His father Thomas Isaac Powell precedes him in death. George passed away suddenly Friday, May 29, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.

On August 24, 1979 he united in marriage with his wife of 35 years, Brenda Sue Lawton Powell. To this union six sons also survive: Thomas Isaac Powell II, George Monroe (Marissa) Powell II, James Harrison (Samantha) Powell, Daniel Benjamin Powell, Hobert Jefferson (Christy) Powell and Timothy Doyle (Brittany) Powell.

Also surviving are his seven grandchildren: Tabitha, Kevin, Trey, Lexie, Ava, Sierra and Korbyn; surviving is his sister: Cathy Huff and brothers: Dale (Mary) Powell and Bro. Tommy (Michelle) Powell. His brother Ronnie precedes him in death.

George was employed at TP Mechanics in Lexington and was a member of the Big Springs Baptist Church. He was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all.

Zelmadene Antle, 85, of Russell Springs, died Friday May 29, 2015 at her home. She was born May 24, 1930 in Russell County to the late Chester & Noma Phelps Bradshaw.

She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rodger Antle and a daughter, Sheila Gayle Antle.

Roy McDonald

Roy McDonald passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Lake Cumberland Hospital in Somerset, KY. He was 85. 

Born November 26, 1929 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late George E. McDonald and Lucy Belle Watson McDonald. He was a retired postal carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was a farmer, factory worker, carpenter, and a brick and block mason. Roy was a member of the Athens Church of Christ. 

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Rollin (and Nancy) McDonald of Springfield, Illinois and Timothy Keith (and Sheila) McDonald of Liberty; a daughter, Martha Sue McDonald of Nancy; two grandchildren, Ashley Mae and Sarah Ann; and a sister, Lela Evelyn (and Marvin) Martin of Liberty. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Ann Phelps McDonald, who passed away June 30, 2010; and two brothers, Cola and Hershel McDonald. 

Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. J. D. McDonald officiating. Roy McDonald will be laid to rest in Poplar Hill Cemetery. 

Visitation is Friday, May 29, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be given to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland in memory of Roy C McDonald.

Eric Hayes of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late William Luther Hayes and Nancy Cantrell Hayes, was born May 11, 1948, in Marshfield, Missouri. He died¬ at 5:55 P.M., Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Louisville. Age: 67
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a retired lumberyard employee.
He united in marriage to Cathy Cabell twenty-five years ago.
Besides his wife, Cathy Hayes of Louisville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: William Eric Hayes and wife, Tammy and Lisa French and husband, Willie of Louisville; two grandchildren: Lauren French and Will French; one sister, De Etta Butts and husband, Gene of Marshfield, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Gregory Benjamin Curry, 52 of Shepherdsville, passed away at Flaget Hospital on Sunday, May 24, 2015 with his family by his side.

He was a Southern Baptist by faith, a member of Local Union Hall 110, School of Hard Knocks and a 1980 graduate of North Bullitt High School. 


He was preceded in death by his brother Gerald Wade Curry. 


Gregory is survived by his wife Marie Curry; his children Joshua Gregory Scott Curry (Amilia) and Taylor Marie Curry both of Shepherdsville; 
his parents Benjamin and Imogene Stargel Curry of Shepherdsville, KY formerly of Adair County; his brother Brian Dewayne Curry of Shepherdsville; his grandchildren Michael Benjamin and Emilie Rose Curry; his dog Sheba; along with many nieces and nephews. Goodnight Irene.

Funeral Service will be at Noon Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at
 Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, KY with Rev. Larry Sowder officiating Burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and on Wednesday 9-12 a.m.

Elizabeth “Beth” Wade Chambers Overgaauw

Elizabeth “Beth” Wade Chambers Overgaauw, 61, of Campbellsville passed away Saturday evening, May 23, 2015. She was the daughter of Dr. Hank Chambers, Jr and Peggy Chambers, who preceeded her in death. She is survived by two sons Ben and Jacob Overgaauw, and daughter Trina Overgaauw; two brothers: Chip and Andy Chambers, and sister, Sue Wallingford; and her ex-husband Dan Overgaauw.

Beth had been active with Channel 6 TV, the Lebanon and Springfield theater groups, as well as many other local productions. She had also previously taught Kindergarten and substitute taught several grade levels with the Campbellsville Independent School system. She has touched the lives of many people here and abroad with her love of life, laughter, and wisdom.

In honor of Beth, a celebration of her life and death will be held at Angelic Hall at Centre Square in Lebanon, Ky on Sunday, June 7 at 1 pm.
