Phillip C. Jackson, age 56 of Greensburg, KY passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 28, 2017. Phil was born on Feb. 6, 1961 in Greenfield, IN.

He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Sr. and Helen (Hancock), two brothers; Richard Jr. and Lonnie (Anna).

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shelley (Johnson) of Greensburg , daughter Crystal Horning (Scott), grandchildren Drew and Megan, sisters Connie Weber (Ron), Bonnie Hazlett (late Ray), Peggy Hodges, Jo Ellen Smith (late Jeff) all of Greenfield, IN, his birth mother Barbara Simms of Indianapolis, IN and several nieces and nephews.

Phil was referred to as the “the man, the legend, the rock, the connoisseur” who will never be forgotten. He loved fishing, nature, gardening, motorcycles, four wheelers, adventure, his dog Ammo, cherry pie, and his mother-in-laws carrot cake. Life was never boring with Phil. He had much common sense and wisdom. He always had stories and was a great conversationalist. He was a master craftsman and a jack-of-all-trades. He was known as one of the best electrical and neon sign fabricators and installers for many years. Phil was the one everyone wanted to see at the time of their passing, for he had a way with words that soothed and made everyone laugh. He was still telling his stories and laughing all the way to his death. Phil didn’t like hypocrites and most people loved and hated him at the same time. He was honest and truthful and said things how he seen it. For those who knew him well understood him and loved being around him.

Phil and Shelley spent over 31 years together enjoying life and relying on each other through bad and good times. They trusted each other when they trusted no one else. They built a bond that no one could break. “Phil’s memory will be forever and I’ll find myself asking; what would Phil do, what would Phil say, what do I do now honey. No matter the words or voices I hear, they won’t be his.”

Phil’s wish was to have no funeral service. A celebration of life was held at his home at the time of his passing.
