Tonya Lynn Wade

Tonya Lynn Wade, age 47 of Loretto, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 at UK Medical Center in Lexington. 
She was born January 25, 1969 in Marion County. She worked as a child care provider and former assistant director of the Loretto Child Care Center. 

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Doug Wade; one daughter, Jami Miller (Mike) of Loretto; her parents, Cooper and Mary Thompson Mattingly; one brother, Greg Mattingly (Cathy) of Lebanon; one sister, Jennifer Richardston (Alan) of Lebanon. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Bryan T. Lamberson will officiate. 
Visitation is 3-8 PM Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM. 

The family requests that everyone wear UK themed attire to honor Tonya and her love of UK basketball.

Phillip Brown

Phillip Brown passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at his home in Danville, KY. He was 55.

Born July 4, 1961 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late James Wilbur and Dorothy Vaught Brown. He was a gate hauler and of the United Methodist faith. He volunteered at Grace Café Restaurant.

Survivors include a brother, J.C. Brown of Liberty; four sisters, Deborah Kay Brown Woodall of Danville, Wanda Faye Terry of Liberty, Dixie Rae Wilcher of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Edwinna Mae Rodgers of Liberty; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Leon Roy Brown, Donald Dean Brown, and Dowell Brown; and a sister, Patricia Gay Brown.

A private graveside service was held Monday, October 31, 2016 at Shady Grove Cemetery for Mr. Phillip Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Grace Café, 219 South 4th Street, Danville, KY 40422.

Macie Drake, age 15, of Sanders Ridge Road, Columbia, KY died as a result of an ATV accident on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 4:56 PM in the Pellyton community in Adair County
She was born May 11, 2001 in Campbellsville, KY

She is survived by her father Darrell Drake of Pellyton 
Her mother Tammy Ellen Rodgers Taylor and husband Steve of Liberty, KY
She is survived by two brothers:
Ben Drake of Campbellsville, KY
Marcus Watson of Liberty, KY
Maternal grandparents:
Jackie & Margaret Scott Rodgers of Liberty, KY
Maternal great-grandfather:
Vitus Rodgers of Liberty, KY
A host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends also survive.

She was a sophomore at Adair County High School. She enjoyed being surrounded by her friends and family.
She attended Southside Christian Church and Brush Creek Pentecostal Church.

Abby Gail Curry, 15, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Friday, October 28, 2016 as the result of an accident on Liberty Road in the Pellyton community.
She was born February 5, 2001 and was a Sophomore at Adair County High School.  She loved cheerleading, gymnastics and to listening music.

Survivors include:
Her parents – Sabrina Ford and Nathan Curry both of Columbia
Two sisters – Desaray Ford and Natalie Curry both of Columbia
Maternal grandfather – Ronald Ford of Columbia
Paternal grandmother – Barbara (Russ) McGaha of Columbia

Ella Mae Lobb

Mrs. Ella Mae Lobb was born in Green County, Ky. to the late Altha Davis Judd and Alvie Judd on December 14, 1932. She departed this life Saturday evening at TJ Samson Hospital having attained the age of eighty-three years, ten months and fifteen days.

She had made a profession in faith in Christ and was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church. She was employed at Fruit of the Loom for over thirty-two years and was retired. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William A. “Bill” Lobb on October 6, 1998. She was also preceded in death by several siblings: Pete Judd, Earl Judd, H.L. Judd, Raymond Judd, Veachel Judd, Ivin Judd, Opal Coffey, Vera Arnett and Lola Wright.

She is survived by one son Greg Lobb and his companion Darla Wynne of Greensburg, two grandsons: Colton Lobb and his wife Hanna of Campbellsville and Zayden Lobb of Greensburg. One brother and one sister: Curtis Judd of Campbellsville and Maurine Whitlow of Greensburg, three sisters-in-law: Adilene Judd of Glasgow, Cleo Judd of Columbia and Betty Lou Judd of Greensburg plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Douglas Wayne Carnes, 74, of Jamestown,KY, passed away Sat. Oct.29th at his home in Jamestown.
Douglas was born in Jamestown, KY on June 20, 1942 a son of the late Mildred (Bell) and Edwin Carnes.
He was a retired truck driver and husband of Kathy (Acton) Carnes, of Jamestown, KY

Douglas is also survived by 
son Douglas W. Carnes, Jr, of Russell Springs, KY
daughters Kamie Warriner and Edna Spears both of Jamestown,KY
sister Sarah Polston, of Jamestown, KY
three grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive.

Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Carnes, and a grandson Jacob McGowan.

The family chose care and cremation and request expressions of sympathy be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.

Sylvia M. Camp

Sylvia M. Camp, age 91, of Campbellsville died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Sylvia was born in Todd County, Kentucky on August 30, 1925 to the late Elmer and Mabel Thompson Johnson. She married E. Raymond Camp who preceded her in death on November 4, 1982. They had moved to Campbellsville when Raymond took a job with Fruit of the Loom. Sylvia was a member of the Church of Christ and attended Southern Drive Church of Christ. She also worked for Fruit of the Loom for over seventeen years and enjoyed quilting, baking and cooking.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William Ira and Hershel Johnson and her sisters, Thelma Blake and Elsie Luthel.

Sylvia is survived by a daughter and her husband, Rebecca Sue “Becky” and Billy Bowen of Greensburg; three grandchildren, Daren Bowen and wife, Amelia, Angela Bowen and her special friend Mike and Renee Moran and her husband Roger and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Ray and Betty Johnson, James and Wanda Johnson, Irvin and Bea Johnson, Othor and Judy Johnson, Eddie and Kathy Johnson, Joyce and Elvin Roberts, Ovella Morrison and Jeanetta and Larry Morrison, all of Adairville, Kentucky, Lloyd and JoAnn Johnson, of Shepherdsville and Geraldine Suddath, of Louisville. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 2nd at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Billy Bowen and Bro. Roger Moran officiating. Burial will follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Daren Bowen, Larry Jones, Steve Bowles, Allen Coffey, Ruben Reyes and Shannon Offill.

The family requests visitation from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 1st at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Donna Jean Cook Leake, age 88 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital East in Lexington. She was born on October 25, 1928 in Akron, Ohio. Mrs. Leake was an organist and member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She was also a devoted organist at St. Francis Xavier Church in Raywick, KY. for 62 Years. 

She was preceded in death by: Husband: Bernard Ambrose Leake. Parents: John Cecil Cook and Bonnie Hazel Richardson. Daughter: Dona Michelle Mack and her deceased husband Ronald. Two Sons: Vaughn Bernard (Kim) Leake and Robert David Leake.

Survivors include: Two Sons: John Cook (Renate’) Leake—Canfield, Ohio; Joseph Cecil Leake (wife Cathy, deceased)—Bardstown, KY. 
Four Daughters: Hazel Bernadette (Michael) McDonough -- Naples, Florida.; Mary Beth (Mike) Madden—Berea, Kentucky.; Gloria Jean (Bill) Luttman – Naples, Florida.; Sarah Lou (Tom) Bell —Naples, Florida. 
Sister: Juanita Abell—Lebanon, KY. 
Also surviving are numerous beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 01, 2016 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment to follow in St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery, Raywick, KY. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:30 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2016 at Bosley Funeral Home. 

Prayer services will be held at 7:00 Monday evening at the funeral home, officiated by Deacon Joe Dant.

Eddie Milby Shofner

Eddie Milby Shofner, age 96, of Campbellsville died Friday, October 28, 2016 at Taylor Regional Hospital following a brief illness.

Eddie was born in Larue County on October 17, 1920 to the late Albert and Mary Sprowles Shofner. On August 7, 1945, he married Ruby Wise who preceded him in death on June 2, 2003. Also, preceding him in death were his brothers Gilbert Shofner and Oscar Shofner; a sister, Annie Roots and a grandson, Paul Jason Atwood.

Eddie was an farmer but in his earlier years had also worked at Bourbon Cooperage. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to grow a garden, cut wood and coon hunt. Eddie had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Jesus Name Tabernacle.

He is survived by two sons, Daryl Shofner of Winchester and Dale Shofner, of Lebanon; five daughters and their husbands, Hilda and Junior Garner, Sandra and Jody Keltner, Linda and Paul Atwood and Donna and Lloyd Mershon, all of Campbellsville and Deborah and Jimmy Rakes of Lebanon; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 31st at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be James Shofner, Jacob Shofner, Jeff Rakes, Phillip Abell, Kevin Moore and John Justice.

Charles "Poss" Muse age 79 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was born on October 14, 1937 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Prentis and Ethel White Muse. He had worked in oil exploration and had also trimmed trees for many years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nina "Susie" England Muse, two daughters, Elizabeth Scott and Anna Sue Scott, two sons, Cary "Beggie" Scott, and Lonnie Scott, and two brothers, Ferry Muse and Terry Muse. 

Survivors Include: 
Seven Daughters- Faye Starns(Randall) of Albany, KY, Wanda Dunbar(Jimmy) of Jamestown, KY, 
Mary Starns(Rayborn) of Albany, KY, Brenda Scott(Larry Booher) of Albany, KY, 
Linda Tallent(Ray) of Albany, KY, and Darlene Muse and Brittany Muse both of Burkesville, KY 
Six Sons- Tony Scott of Burkesville, KY, Jonah Scott of Albany, KY, Patrick Anderson of Burkesville, KY, Brian Muse(Linda) of Burkesville, KY, Charles Muse of Burkesville, KY, and James "Dude" Anderson(Pam) of Greensburg, KY 
Two Sisters- Jody Muse Rush and Lura Muse both of Burkesville, KY 
Two Brothers- Perry Muse of Burkesville, KY and German Muse of Rockport, IN
