Linda Ester Godbey Clements

Linda Ester Godbey Clements, of Franklin, Indiana, formerly of Casey County, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at Indiana Masonic Home Community Center in Franklin. She was 85 years of age.

Born April 14, 1934, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late John Riley and Maggie Wesley Godbey.  Linda was a former custodian for Franklin College and attended Franklin Faith Chapel. She was the youngest of fifteen children.  Linda loved all children and enjoyed babysitting, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Survivors include her beloved husband, Arlis Lee Clements of Franklin, Indiana, whom she wed November 13, 1954; one son, Darrell Lee (Barbara Miller) Clements of Hustonville, Kentucky; one daughter, Brenda Gail Lane of Franklin, Indiana; one sister Christine Sanders of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Mandy Mae Clements Vranek of Wheatland, California and Holly Marie Lane of Franklin, Indiana; and three great-grandchildren, Ian Lee Vranek and Ellie Clair Vranek of Wheatland, California, and Harmony Rickelle Lane Watkins of Franklin, Indiana.

Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Brother Richard West officiating. Burial will follow in Bethelridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 12:00-2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
David Campbell, Junior Sanders, Jerry Hardwick, Joseph Hardwick, Glen Poff, and Caleb Grider will serve as Linda’s pallbearers.

Danny Keith Rogers, age 51, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Sunday, December 29 2019 at Kindred Hospital.
He was born on Saturday, July 27 1968, in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was the son of:
Mother - Janice Bunch Rogers, who has preceded him in death
Father - Ralph Rogers, who has preceded him in death

Wife - Kerrie Derby of Russell Springs, KY

He is also survived by: 2 uncles, Richard and Alvin Bunch of Jamestown. He was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church in Jamestown and worked as Deputy Director for Russell County Emergency Management

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 01, 2020 at Jamestown Cemetery, Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

Interment will be in Jamestown Cemetery, North Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

Charles Edwin Grider, 72, of Lexington, KY died Sunday, December 29, 2019 at UK Medical Center in Lexington.  Born September 20, 1947 in Russell County he was the son of the late Julius and Olive McBeath Grider.

He was a former Millwright in Lexington, KY.

Survivors include a sister, Nancy Grider; two brothers, Roger Grider and Ronald Grider; a sister-in-law, Rose Lynn Stacey Grider and a niece and nephew, Melissa Grider and Christopher Grider.

Graveside services will be 10:00am CST Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Russell County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday, January 3, 2019 from 4:00-7:00pm CST at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Rodney Keith Bailey, 56, of Tullahoma, TN died Saturday, December 28, 2019 in Tullahoma, TN.  Born in Franklin, IN he is the son of Vitis and Alberta Cowan Bailey of Columbia.

He was a member of the Grace Bible Church in Goodlettsville, TN, a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp, a member of the Indian Motorcycle Group in TN and was a volunteer at the Fallen Hero’s Family Camp.

In addition to his parents, Vitis & Alberta Bailey, he is survived by a sister Vanessa Causey (Danny) of Wilmington, NC; two brothers Kelvin Bailey of Columbia and Justin Bailey (Jamie) of Russell Springs; five nieces and nephews Jeremy Bailey, Kalli Bailey, Joie Bailey, Katie Roberts and Mason Lawhorn; a great nephew Will Shackow and several friends and other relatives.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the New Hope Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home and continue Wednesday morning until time for the service.

Bro. Duane Hatfield and Bro. Danny Bailey will be officiating and pallbearers will be Wesley Melson, Robert Powell, Michael Webb, Darrell Weber, Jeremy Bailey and mason Lawhorn.

David Wayne Gaddie

David Wayne Gaddie of Campbellsville, son of Wilma Gaddie and the late Rev. George Ray Gaddie and Shirley Behymer Gaddie, was born August 13, 1947 in Marion County, Kentucky.  He died at 11:46 A.M., Saturday, December 27, 2019 in Louisville.      Age:  72

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Salem Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and treasurer. He was also treasurer of the Taylor County Baptist Association.

David was a retired school teacher of Green County High School and was treasurer of Green County Retired Teachers Association and the Central Kentucky Art Series.

David was involved in elections in Taylor County for over 40 years. He was instrumental in our election process by always helping set the machines before our elections and as our election technician on Election Day. He also has indexing programs in the record rooms of not only Taylor County but other clerk’s offices in Central Kentucky.

He is survived by his mother, Wilma Gaddie of Campbellsville; one brother and two sisters; Ray Gaddie of Punta Gorda, Florida, Jane Wheatley of Campbellsville and Rebecca Ford and husband, Van of Ft. Myers, Florida; one niece and three nephews: Ben Ford and wife, Jordan of Campbellsville, Jaclyn Dabney and husband, Neil of Mannsville, Stephen Ford of Campbellsville and Landon Dickens and wife, Kenzie of Lexington; one great-niece and nine great-nephews and many other relatives and friends.

VISITATION:  10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home

Dorothy Mae Loy, 79, of Columbia, died Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia.  Born in Adair County she was the daughter of the late Joe and Estell Page Bardin. 

Mrs. Loy attended the Amazing Grace Church and enjoyed helping and taking care of others.

Survivors include her husband Harold Loy of Columbia; two daughters Janeatte Kelsay (Timmy) and Diane Boller (Gary) both of Columbia; six grandchildren Tabitha Giles, Tara Robinson, Joey Keith, Michael Keith, Josh Tweedy and Savannah Tweedy; ten great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren and expecting another; a daughter-in-law Starr Tweedy of Columbia; two special friends Carol Johnson and Nadine Darnell and several other friends and relatives.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons Larry Tweedy and Jeff Tweedy.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Bardin Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00-8:00pm and continue Tuesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
Bro. Ronnie Janes will be officiating and pallbearers will be Jacob Hatcher, Reece Giles, Joey Keith, Josh Tweedy, Travis Coomer, Steve Coomer and Mason Coomer.

Ronnie Lee Pruitt

Mr. Ronnie Lee Pruitt of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Aubrey Pruitt and Beulah Givens Pruitt, was born on Wednesday, January 12, 1949 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg. He was 70 years, 11 months, and 16 days of age. 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church since 1975, where he served as custodian for 33 years. He started working at the age of 15 for the former Henry Durham & Son Hardware Store. He was owner and operator of Ron's Hardware from 1997 until 2019. Mr. Pruitt was also a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM. 

Survived by his wife of 52 years, Patsy Bagby Pruitt of Greensburg, having united in marriage on November 11, 1967. 
Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Kim and Charlie Allen of Summersville; two grandchildren: BayLee Allen and Carter Allen both of Summersville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Donna and Dave Walker of Louisville, Pauline and Duane Caple of South Carolina; Larry and Connie Bagby of Indiana, and Steve and Kim Bagby of Shepherdsville; a niece and nephew: Angie and Pete Gott of Knob Lick; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Pruitt was also preceded in death by a brother: William Allen Pruitt in 2001. 

The funeral services for Mr. Ronnie L. Pruitt will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Central Time, Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the Greensburg Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Blake Jessie, Bro. Todd Young, Bro. Mike Akridge, and Bro. Ty Clenney officiating. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge of the service arrangements. 
Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M., Central Time, Monday at the Greensburg Baptist Church and after 7 A.M., Tuesday until time of the funeral service. 

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bethlehem Cemetery Fund, Greensburg Baptist Church Building Fund, or the Green Hill Rehab & Care Center Activity Fund, which can be made at the church or the funeral home.

Denois “DeDe” Long Allen

Denois “DeDe” Long Allen, of Liberty, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Liberty Care Center.  She was 89 years of age.

Born December 24, 1930, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Mary Taylor Long.  DeDe was a homemaker and a member of Atwood Chapel United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking.  DeDe loved her family.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Dale Allen, Johnny B. (Susie) Allen, and Roger (Michelle) Allen, all of Liberty; two daughters, Rita Wethington of Liberty and Rosalie (Thomas) Graham of Perryville; three brothers, Dean Long of Camby, Indiana, Bobby Long of Camby, Indiana, and Buddy Long of Liberty; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, DeDe was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Robert Allen, who passed away October 1, 2010; one son, Troy Allen; seven brothers; two sisters; a grandson, Mitchell Allen; and a granddaughter, Shawn Allen.

Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Brother Ed Parton officiating.  Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, December 30, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Bobby Joe Corner, 64, of Russell Springs, died Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Russell County Hospital. He was born August 5, 1955 in Cinn., Ohio to the late John Henry and Oneda L. Chumbley Corner.

He was a former employee of Tecumseh Engines in Somerset.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Lee Corner Moore.

Elmer David Redmon, age 66, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Thursday, December 26 2019 at His residence.  He was born on Sunday, March 01 1953, in Columbia, Kentucky.

He was the son of:
Mother - Sarah Jane Frost Redmon, who has preceded him in death
Father - Elmer Ray Redmon, who has preceded him in death

Wife - Joyce Redmon of Russell Springs, KY
