Phillip Lee Stapp, 70, of Russell Springs, died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at his home. He was born February 17, 1945 in Russell County to the late Aldon & Zula Mae Lowhorn Stapp.
He was a Veteran of US Air Force. He was a auto body repairman and was a member of Hayes Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Preston, Garvis, Ronald & Dennis "Dink" Stapp and a sister, Ellen Loy

Survivors include
wife: Patsy Stapp, Russell Springs
3 children: Mark E. (Sheila) Stapp; Jason L. (Kristy) Stapp; and April L. (Lonnie) Robertson, all of Russell Springs
8 grandchildren-2 great grandchildren
1 sister: Elaine (Roger) Collins, Russell Springs
1 brother: Arvis (Linda) Stapp, Russell Springs
a sister-in-law: Joann Bowe

A celebration of life will be held at 10 AM. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the Hayes Chapel United Methodist Church with Bro. Bobby Bowe and Bro. John Blakey officiating.
Visitation after 5 PM. Tuesday at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel and after 8 AM. Wednesday at the church.
Interment in the Blakey Cemetery with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.

Tracy Jo Miller, 44, of Louisville, formerly of Columbia, died Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1:43 P.M. at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. 

She was born October 24, 1971, in Campbellsville, KY.  She was a member of Bates Memorial Baptist Church in Louisville and a Beautician. 

Survivors include: 
Her mother – Phyllis Miller of Columbia 
Her father – Joe Miller of Columbia 
One son – Denim Sullivan Miller of Louisville 
One daughter – Jocelyn Miller Douglas of Nashville 
Two brothers – Henry Miller of Chicago, Joe Morris “Moe” Miller of Columbia 
One sister – Pamela Miller of Louisville 
Several other relatives and friends 

Funeral service – Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 12 Noon at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home 

Burial in Anderson Cemetery in Green County

Treva Tallent Mann, 80, of Russell Springs, died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at her home after a long illness. She was born August 16, 1935 in Clinton County to the late Jim Hurt & Minnie Perdue Tallent. She was a former senior vice president at First National Bank in Russell Springs.

She was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church in Albany, Ky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Zenobia Dicken, Jimmie Sloan; and 3 brothers, Jason Tallent, Hurlton Tallent, Ted Tallent.

Survivors include
husband: Dean Mann, Russell Springs
daughter: Jamie (Pete) Lee, Russell Springs
grandson: Ben Lee, Russell Springs
2 sisters: Xiena Sawyers, Bowling Green, Ky and  Laura Ann Lowhorn, Albany, Ky

Funeral service for Treva Tallent Mann will be 10 AM. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Russell Springs with Bro. Jeff Griffin and Bro. Harvey Dicken
officiating.

Visitation after 5 PM. Monday at the church and after 8 AM. Tuesday.
Burial in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Albany, Ky

Kathleen Maxine Warren French

Kathleen Maxine Warren French, age 89 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville. She was born on May 23, 1926.

Maxine was a member at Nolynn Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a farmer's wife, a happy homemaker and took her greatest pleasure in raising her children. One of her spiritual gifts was reaching out to others with encouraging words through phone calls, cards and letters. Her heart was full of joy and overflowed with love for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley French, Jr.; a son, Larry French; her parents, Richard A. and Lucy Thompson Warren; three sisters, Elva Allen, Nellie Bennett and Dora Warren and three brothers, Glenn Warren, Vernon Warren and Floyd Warren.

She is survived by; three sons, Ronnie (Jean) French and Brent (Sara Rose) French all of Hodgenville and Doug (Denise) French of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Valarie (Tom) Logue of Louisville; a daughter-in-law, Debbie French of Lawrenceburg; a sister, Doneda Pepe of Arizona; eleven grandchildren, Darren (Tabitha) French, Sonya French-Foster, Chad (Kellee) French, Brooke (Josh) Wright, Josh (Angel) French, Luke French, Chelsea (John) Weber, Connor Logue, Jacob Bradley French, Abigail French and Rachel French; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Foster, Peyton Foster, Corbin Wright, Cooper Wright, William French, Phillip French and Alex French and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with John Poteet officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Monday and after 9 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mary Kathlene Cross, 68, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Friday, January 29th, at The Palace Nursing Home in Red Boiling Springs.
Mary Kathlene was born in Tompkinsville, KY on February 2, 1947, a daughter of the late Winnie (Basil) and William Lawrence Kingery.
She was married to Dennis Cross, who precedes her in death.
She was of Church of Christ Faith. She worked at the deli at Houchens.
 
Mary Kathlene is survived by two daughters, Kristie Kilmon and husband, Teddy, of Tompkinsville, KY;
Kimberly Norris, and husband, David of Tompkinsville, KY; two sons Kelvin Cross, of Tompkinsville, KY; Keith Cross and wife, Kelly, of Scottsville, KY. Ten grandchildren, Kala Bacon, Cory and Cody Cross, Jessica Clay, Devin and Cole Billingsley, Kelsey and Kyle Norris, Autumn and Alexander Kilmon; six great grandchildren, Kyler, Dylan, Jayden, Jerrica, and Kynsley Bacon and Holder Huskey.
 
Mary Kathlene is also survived by three sisters, Thelma Cunningham, of Tompkinsville, KY; Margie Estes, of Indianapolis, IN; and Carol Walden, of Tompkinsville, KY; and a brother, Rollie Kingery, of Glasgow, KY.

She is also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Carla Cross; sister, Emogene Kingery and two brothers Ralph and Mitchell Kingery.

Funeral service will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 1st, 2016.
Visitation is Sunday after 6:00 P.M. and Monday 6:00 A.M.- 2:00 P.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
Burial is in White Cemetery.

Danny Douglas Adams, was born in Monticello, August 21, 1956 the son of the late Paul Hubert and Nella Jane Adams. He departed this life at his home in Nicholasville, January 28th.

He is survived by his sister, Carol and her husband Greg Hood of Lexington and two nieces, Nancy Allison Hardin and Jessica Jane Hood.

Danny was retired from UK and was a member of the Monticello First Baptist Church

Funeral Service is Sunday at 2 P.m. at Hickey & Son Funeral Home.  Visitation is Sunday from 12 Noon until 2 P.m. Interment in Elk Spring Cemetery.

Raymond Russell of Liberty, KY passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Casey County Hospital. He was 84. 

Born October 1, 1931 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Charles Hardin and Hester Meeks Russell. He was the owner/operator of a bulldozer business that he started in 1953. Raymond was a member of the Antioch Christian Church. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Ellen Austin Russell, who passed away September 23, 2015; two brothers, Charles J. Russell and Rollin Russell; and a sister, Rethel Jeanotta Fights. 

Survivors include three sons, Charles Raymond (and Pandora) Russell, R.N., of Fayetteville, NC, Larry Joe (and Heidi) Russell, M.D. of Hendersonville, NC, and Barry Russell of Liberty; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betsy Lou Conaster of Louisville, Laura Rudine Kolb of Oxford, Ohio, and Sharleen Nowak of Decatur, AL; and a special friend, Omar Santana. 

Funeral services are 6:00 P.M. Sunday, January 31, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Visitation is Sunday after 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. 

Private burial is at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Antioch Cemetery.

She was born on June 4, 1947 in Adair County.

She was the daughter of the late Lether G. & Ruthie M. Bryant Burton & was preceded in death by her husband Robert McKinney on Oct. 3, 2013 also preceded in death six brothers & one sister Joseph Burton, Zenith Burton,  Jimmy Burton, Ronald "Moon Beam" Burton, Gobel Burton, Minny Burton & Wanda Burton

She is survived by one son Dwayne McKinney & his special friend Lesara Pierce
of Columbia, KY
Two brothers Onda Wayne Burton & Wendell (Faye) Burton of Columbia, KY
Sisters-in-law Rachel Burton of Columbia, KY & Judy Burton of Campbellsville, KY

She was of the Methodist faith, Katie & her late husband Robert sang with 
the Tri-County Gospel Aires, loved singing with the group and also singing
just themselves, she had worked at OshKosh B'Gosh, Shepherd Grade Center
as a cook & an aid

He was born February 20, 1951, in Adair County, to the late Clyde & Janie Crawhorn Dial.  He attended My Father’s House Church.

Jackie Lee Snow, 52 of Hustonville passed away Friday, January 29, 2016. Born December 21, 1963, he was the son of the late Carl Jackson and Peachie Qualls Snow.

He was survived by his dog, Princess; sister, Hazel (James Burnon) Hamilton and two nephews: James Carlos (Jennifer) Hamilton and Brad (Amanda) Hamilton; his “great” nieces and nephew, Austin and Landrey and Makayla and Jaylynn; and his caregiver, Junior Gadd.

No services will be held. There will be a private burial at Hustonville Cemetery.
