Mrs. Dunbar was of the Christian faith. She worked as a certified nursing assistant. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands: James C. Baxter and Clyde Dunbar, one son, Paul Dunbar, two brothers and one sister-in-law: Robert White, Jr., Wendell White and Di Ann White.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Cary and Stephanie Dunbar of Greensburg, Craig and Corene Dunbar of Petersburg, Alaska, and Gary and Serena Baxter of China, two daughters and sons-in-law: Kimberly and Scott Montgomery of Greensburg and Meagan and Roque (pronounced Rocky) Habana of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, two brothers, one sister, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law: Clenny White of Oregon, and Brendan and Kae White of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Gwendolyn and Walter Schrammel of Colorado, and Dawn White of California. Fifteen grandchildren: Cary Matthew Dunbar, Mason Dunbar, Ronnie Jaden Hall, Joshua Hall, Dannie Joshua Dunbar, Dineane Rose Dunbar Schmitz, Harley Edward Dunbar, Madison Breanna Montgomery, Alex Christian Montgomery, Andrew Cole Montgomery, Hezekiah L. Hall, Linae Ann Furkins, Rhoda Faye Baxter, Michiah J. Baxter, and Deborah Baxter, eleven great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Valarie Eileen White Dunbar will be conducted at 2 pm Central Time Monday, December 5, 2022, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. Bro. Wilburn Bonta will be officiating the funeral service. Cremation will follow the funeral service. There will be a committal service and burial to follow 11 am Central Time Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Fry Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the funeral time at 2 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Gideons for Bibles or to Fry Cemetery. These can be made at the funeral home.
