Patricia “Patty” Lynn Wilson, 57, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at her home.  She was born January 10, 1962, in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Samuel C. and Martha Jean Keltner Wilson. 

Patty was a member and Official Greeter at Columbia United Methodist Church.

Survivors include:
Her adoptive mother – Edie Egbert of Columbia
Two sisters – Janie Wilson Edwards and husband Harold of Perryville, Karen Wilson Jewell and husband Jackie of London
Two nieces – Jeananne Zink and husband Greg of Columbus, Ohio, Jaclyn Jewell of London
One nephew – Josh Jewell and his wife Marissa of Nicholasville
One great-niece – Natalie Zink
One great-nephew – Nathan Zink
One aunt – Ruby Keltner of Columbia
Several other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Columbia United Methodist Church with Dr. John Hatton officiating
Burial in Columbia Cemetery
Visitation on Saturday from 5-8pm and on Sunday from 7am-12pm at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home and after  12:30pm Sunday at the Church
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Down Syndrome Aging and Research Study or the Green River Animal Shelter would be appreciated.  These may be made at the funeral home.

William Ralph Warriner, age 82, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, January 30th, 2019 at his residence.

He is survived by:
Three Daughters
  • Linda Popplewell and Vertie Morton both of Jamestown
  • Wanda Witham of Cincinnati
Three Sons
  • Barry and Ralph Warriner both of Russell Springs
  • Ricky Warriner of Jamestown
Two Sisters
  • Lavonna Sullivan of Russell Springs
  • Janet Grider of Somerset
One Brother
  • Gary Warriner of Jamestown
Seventeen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for William Ralph Warriner will be held Sunday, February 3rd at 1:30 pm at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel with burial in the Collins-Warriner Cemetery. Friends may call for visitation after 5:00 pm Saturday at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown.

Charity Hollon Tomlin

Charity Hollon Tomlin age 90 departed this life on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at her home. She is the daughter of the late General Hollon and Stella Hatton Hollon.

Charity was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by three daughters; Sharon (Robert) Eder of Indianapolis, Indiana, Pam (Leon) Gibson of Edmonton and Cheryl (David) Bolding of Tennessee. One sister Pauline Sewell of Ohio. Eleven grandchildren, three step grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.

Besides her parents she is preceded her husband Bro. Roy Tomblin, two brothers George and Bennie Hollon.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Gibson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.

Luther Groce, age 71 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY. Luther was born on February 23, 1947 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Raymond Lester and Noxie Frances Long Groce.

He was a former employee of W.A. Kendall and a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce White and her husband Buck, and one step son Patrick Pruitt.

Two Step Sons- Jimmy Pruitt and wife Melissa and Chad Pruitt all of Burkesville, KY
One Step Daughter- Angie Pruitt of Burkesville, KY
Three Brothers- Bruce Groce and his wife Nancy of Burkesville, KY, Ricky Groce and his wife Marie of Celina, TN and Stephen Groce of Burkesville, KY
Two Nieces- Stacey White and JoAnn Willis
9 Step Grandchildren- Daniel Hale, Maddie Hale, Dylan Pruitt, Lilly Pruitt, Oakley Pruitt, Van Moore, Mckenzie Pruitt, Zack Pruitt, and Katie Huff
One Step Great Grandchild- Ashlynn Huff
Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law- Jackey and Betty Janes, Larry and Jan Janes, and Joyce and James Cain.
and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Saturday, February 02, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, KY with burial in Pruitt Cemetery.  Family requests visitation on Friday, Feb. 01, 2019 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family to help with medical expenses.

Mary Lois Wade, 72, of Russell Springs, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the University of Louisville Hospital. She was born January 29, 1947 in Hodgenvillle, Ky.

Mary was a school teacher.

Preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Whitlock Perkins and a sister, Angela Perkins Voris

Dena Ann Payne, age 62, of St. Joe, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at her residence.  She was born on July 12, 1956 in Lebanon, Kentucky.

Mrs. Payne was a parts manager at Lawson Tractor and a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church.

Survivors include:
Husband: Robert Leon “Buzzy” Payne of St. Joe, KY; three daughters, Joni (James) Whisenhunt of Lawrenceburg, KY, Jennifer (Greg) Osbourne of St. Joe, KY, Jackie Luckett (Steve Wooten) of St. Joe, KY; mother, Mary Retha Myers Costello of St. Joe, KY; four grandchildren, Ava Osbourne, Barrett Osbourne, Eli Whisenhunt, Evan Whisenhunt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 04, 2019 at St. Charles Catholic Church; officiated by Father David Naylor. Cremation to follow after Funeral Mass.
Visitation will be held from 3:00-8:30 P.M. Sunday, February 03, 2019 at the St. Joseph Church in St. Joe, KY, with a prayer service that will be held at 7:00 P.M.; officiated by Deacon Joe Dant.

Geneva Sidebottom of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Thomas Morris and Lydia Goldie Vance Morris Young, was born November 10, 1926 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 8:15 P.M., Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in Greensburg.     Age: 92

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.  

Geneva was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She is survived by two sons and three daughters: Peggy Humphress and husband, Wally of Campbellsville, Kathy Bagby and husband, Larry of Mannsville, John Sidebottom and wife, Judy of Burlington, Jim Sidebottom and wife, Judy of Bardstown and Monta Rae Eastham and husband, Jeff of  Sturgis; fourteen grandchildren: Tammie Creason, Randy Cox, Genesia Sallee (Timmy), Laura Sue Mason (Bill), Anthony Humphress (Katie), Amanda Rice, Derick Sidebottom, TJ Kabler, Kasey Sanders (Tara), Kelly Sanders, Nathanael Bell (Kirsten), Nicholas Eastham (Brittany), Dustin Eastham (Cori); two step-grandchildren: Shawn Bagby (Lindsey) and Jeramie Bagby (Brandy): twenty-four great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Sue Sallee June 11, 2005; a grandson, Chris Sallee June 10, 2017; one brother and two sisters:  Joe Thomas Morris Febuary 9, 2003, Cleo Shofner Febuary 2, 2010, Marie Chewning Febuary 7, 2008.

Don B. Gabehart

Don B. Gabehart of Campbellsville, son of the late George W. Gabehart and Lissie Smallwood Gabehart, was born May 12, 1930, in Casey County, Kentucky.  He died at 11:07 A.M., Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in Campbellsville.         Age: 88

He professed faith in Christ and attended Acton Baptist Church.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

Don was a former employee of Bourbon Cooperage in Lebanon.  He was also a farmer and worked in concrete construction. He had a very competitive spirit, especially when playing corn hole and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and family meals.

He was a former member of the Merrimac Masonic Lodge.

He united in marriage to Norma Sue Herron May 8, 1965 and she preceded him in death November 26, 2017.

Don is survived by two daughters: Vickie Brock and husband, Eddie of Campbellsville and Melissa Neary and husband, David of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren:  Skyler Swafford, Aaron Brock and wife, Elesha and Mackenzie Brock and wife, Jessika of Campbellsville, Chase Hubbard, Elizabeth Neary and Johnathan Neary of Elizabethtown; five great-grandchildren:  Zoey, Penny, Kaylee, Hudson and Abaigail; one brother-in-law, Terry  Herron of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Beatrice Herron of Liberty; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters:  Roy Gabehart, Albert Gabehart, Murrell Gabehart, Colbert Gabehart, G. W. Gabehart, Lorena Wethington, Evelyn Dillingham and Irene Payne.

Donald Ray Burton, 83, of Columbia died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.  Born in Adair County he was the son of the late Lawrence and Irene Streeval Burton. 

Mr. Burton was a retired Dairy Farmer in Adair County and attended the Bearwallow United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Anna Davidson Burton of Columbia; two daughters Suzanne Burton of Nashville, TN and Janet Burton of Richmond, KY; two grandsons Sebastian and Diego Pelletier both of Richmond, KY; two sisters Leoda Stephens of Indianapolis, IN and Charlotte Scott of Paducah, KY; a uncle Zina H. Burton of Columbia and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin sister Dorlis Stone and three other siblings Pauline Harding, Lawrence Burton, Jr. and Norman Burton.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Jordan Abell officiating.  Visitation will be after 4:00pm Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Bearwallow Cemetery.
