FRONA LOUISE MURRELL, 40 of Columbia,KY passed away on Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY from injuries received in an automobile accident on the Columbia Bypass.

Dorothy Allen Holmes, age 90, of Campbellsville passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at The Grandview in Campbellsville.
She was born on February 14, 1925 in Adair County to the late Henry Allen and Rilda Russell Cundiff. Dorothy was an active member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church, was a member of the Taylor County Homemakers, a 4-H leadership sponsor, and enjoyed traveling. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Holmes, and her brother, Edwin Russell Cundiff. She is survived by two sons, Michael Holmes and his wife, Rachel of Paris, Kentucky, and Maurice Holmes and his wife, Lisa of Campbellsville; four grandchildren, John Holmes and his, wife Erica of Bradenton, Florida, Dr. Amanda Rowland and her husband Dr. Aaron Rowland of Danville, Christopher Holmes of Paris, Kentucky, and Jessica and her husband, Matt Schartz of Farmers Branch, Texas; two great-granddaughters, Alexandria Jane Rowland and Aubrey May Rowland; and one sister-in-law, Gail Cundiff of Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, March 30th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial in Brookside Cemetery. Michael was born in Albany, Ky on Jan. 18, 1959 a son of the late Reba(Garner) and Ray Hammond. Annie Mae Turner, age 89 of Campbellsville died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in Campbellsville at Taylor Regional Hospital.
She was born on October 27th, 1925, to the late Oscar and Martha Hendrickson. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church where she was active in the choir, served as an usher and with the Women in White among other groups. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and had retired from Fruit of the Loom. Emma Hughes, 92, of the Flatwoods community, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 6:15 P.M. at her home.
She was born August 9, 1922, in Adair County, to the late Samuel Zachariah and Effie Staton Hughes. Miss Hughes was a member of Santa Fee Baptist Church, serving in many capacities and a graduate of Kentucky State University. She taught in both the Adair County and Metcalfe County School Systems. |
