James Sawyer Wheeler

James Sawyer Wheeler, infant son of Megan Thompson and Robert Wheeler of Lebanon, was born Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. His family was blessed with 45 minutes with him before he went to his heavenly home. 

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Everett Hardin and Ronald Haverland. 

Survivors besides his parents are one brother, Elijah Wheeler; three sisters; grandparents, Laura Hardin Dulmaine and Micheal Dulmaine of Loretto and Alicia Salazar of Lebanon; great-grandparents, Beulah Mae Hardin of Saint Francis, Maria Franco of Lebanon and Mary and Phil LaBrecque of Bristol, Rhode Island. 

Gravesides services will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Saint Francis of Assisi Cemetery. The Rev. Bryan Lamberson will preside. 

Pallbearers are Michael Dulmaine, Jonathon Thompson and Josh Thompson.

Ms. Mildred Ann Liggett

Ms. Mildred Ann Liggett, age 76 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Springfield Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on January 15, 1941 in Marion County, KY.

Ms. Liggett was a retired L.P.N. having worked at Mary Immaculate Hospital and Marion Manor Nursing Home. Ann was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church working many years with the parish bereavement committee. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence David and Catherine Spalding Thomas; sister, Sr. Susan Thomas; two brothers, Lawrence Patrick Thomas and Joseph Donald Thomas.
 
Survivors include three daughters, Cathe Liggett, of Brentwood, TN, Kim Liggett, of Lexington, KY, Marianne (Dale) Mann, of Springfield, KY; four grandchildren, Kayla Mann, Alex Mann, Jackson, Liggett, Carlee-Ann Liggett; two great-grandchildren, Easton and Kinzley Cruz; significant other, John R. Warren, of Lebanon, KY; two sister, Geneva Mae "Nini" Thomas, of Lebanon, KY, Rita "Jackie" (Rex) Tanner, of Brandenburg, KY. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. 

Visitation
will be held from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the funeral home. Prayer services will be held at 7:00 Sunday evening.

Howard L. Pritchard

Howard L. Pritchard, 87, of Mooresville, Indiana went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his home. He was born September 25, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Roy and Ruth (Mitchell) Pritchard. He married Iris L. (Keltner) Pritchard on July 30, 1950. 

Howard lived in Mooresville for most of his life. He was an electrical engineer for Indianapolis Power and Light Company in Indianapolis for 44 years. He was a 1947 graduate of Clayton High School; served in the United States Navy during the Korean War; member of Camby Community Church; Mooresville Masonic Lodge #78 where he was a 50 year member; current member of Brown Township Advisory Board; former Deputy Trustee for Brown Township; former member of Mooresville Senior Center Board; former board member of Center Valley Cemetery and also had been in Boy Scouts of America achieving Life Scout Rank.

Howard is survived by two daughters: Erin Frew of Mooresville and Jan (Brent) George of Greensburg, Kentucky; three grandchildren: Alana Disney, April Robinson and Andrea Frew; seven great grandchildren. Howard was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2017 and 9-10 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Charles Paxton will officiate the service at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the funeral home. Howard will be laid to rest in Center Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting contributions to offset funeral expenses c/o Erin Frew 259 Pineview Dr., Mooresville, IN 46158.

Nell V. Rooks, 82 of Russell Springs, died Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Russell County Hospital. She was born July 3, 1934 in Adair County to the late Clifton & Letha Burton McGaha.

She was a member of Free Union Separate Baptist Church.

Tom Beaty, age 65 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Friday, August 31, 2017 at Cumberland County Hospital.  Tom was born in Clinton County, KY on Juyl 20, 1951 to the late John Henry Beaty and Bonnie Dailey Cook. He was a retired employee of Gohmann Asphalt and Construction in Clarksville, IN.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Reba Beaty. 

Survivors Include: 
Two Sons- Chris Beaty and Tim Beaty both of Burkesville, KY 
Three Brothers- David Beaty of Burkesville, KY, Johnny Beaty of Nancy, KY and Donnie Beaty of Lexington, KY 
One Sister- Betty Beaty of Clarksville, IN 
Six Grandchildren- Christopher Harley Beaty, Landon Timothy Beaty, Adrian Beaty, Ashton Beaty, Tori Beaty, and Taylin Watt. 
One Great Grandson- Silas Beaty 
Stepfather- Charles Cook of Burkesville, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Robert Glen Jewell, age 61 of Edmonton passed away on Thursday, March 30th at his home. He was the son of the late Bobby Jewell and Loraine Pardue Jewell.

Robert was a truck driver and member of the Big Meadow Baptist Church. 

He was survived by his wife, Eva Wilson.
His son, Robert “Fred” Jewell Jr.
One brother, Keith Jewell all of Edmonton.
Five grandchildren, Laura Jessie of Glasgow, Tasha Jewell of Summer Shade, Abby Whitlow, Jesse Jewell, and James Jewell all of Edmonton.
Four great-grandchildren, a nephew, Justin Jewell of Edmonton,
and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 2nd at 2:00pm at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Big Meadow Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Sunday morning at 9:00am until the service.

Ethel Nell Pollard, 87, of Columbia, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 9:32 P.M. at her home. 

She was born September 13, 1929, in Adair County, to the late Harry & Nancy Curry Brockman.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bud” Pollard on July 15, 2015, and a daughter, Patricia Ann Pollard.  She was a member of Hutchison Community Church and a former dietary aid for Summit Manor Nursing Home and the Adair County School System.

Survivors Include:
One daughter & son-in-law – Geneva & L.C. Bradshaw of Columbia
Four brothers – Hollis, Joe (Peggy), Jimmy & Jesse (Sally) Brockman all of Campbellsville

Joe Allen Moore age 78 years of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 12:15 PM at Signature Health at Summit Manor.  He was born on June 14, 1938 at Gradyville, KY.  He was the son of the late Allen Nell & Evelyn Montgomery Moore

Phillip Dale Woodrum of Liberty, Kentucky passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Liberty Care Center. He was 60 years of age.

Born December 10, 1956 in Casey County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Joyce Martin Woodrum. Phillip was a truck driver and loved to drag race. He was a member of the Redemption Road Church.

Survivors include one son, Jonathan (Daphne) Woodrum of Yosemite; one daughter, Amy (Timmy) Brown of McKinney; five grandchildren; one brother, Lewis Cain of Casey County; and two sisters, Beverly and Sharon.

Funeral services are 12:00 P.M. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Brother Phillip Smallwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Ellen Marie Vance of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Frankie Wright and Lorena Shofner Wright was born August 27, 1926 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 6:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 90

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. 
She retired from Fruit of the Loom after forty-one years of service.

She united in marriage to Carl Vance May 24, 1948 and he preceded her in death July 11, 1999.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Lana Atwood; two great-grandsons: Perry Joshua Loy and Mark Allen Loy; four great-great-grandchildren: Dajia Ellen Loy, Nola Maree Lee Loy, Bonnie Elizabeth Loy and Blake Lee Russell, all of Greensburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Clelland and Rose Wright; a special niece, Gayle Skaggs; a special friend, Bill French, all of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sons: William Carl Vance, November 23, 1969 and Calvin Vance in infancy May 15, 1951 and a grandson, Carl Dwayne Loy January 22, 1994.
