Rodney Keith Hundley, of Liberty, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, November, 29, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was 41 years of age.

Born July 30, 1978, in Marion County, Kentucky, he was a son of Shirley Coffman Hundley and the late Norman Hundley.  Rodney was a 1996 Casey County High School graduate and a 2008 graduate of Somerset Community College, where he majored in Industrial Maintenance. Rodney was a former employee with Hundley Construction and a former mechanic with Toyota in Georgetown. He attended Pine Grove Church.

Survivors include his fiancé, Marlo Warner of Liberty; his mother, Shirley Hundley of Liberty; two sons, Korey Keith Hundley and Rodney Dalton Hundley, both of Adair County; two brothers, Rick (Kara) Hundley of Middleburg, and Rob (Alesha) Hundley of Liberty;

Funeral services will be at 1:00PM  Monday, December 2, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Brother Darrell Burton and Brother Jeff Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 6:00-9:00 P.M. Sunday, December 1, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Rick, Rob, Kyle, Korey, and Dalton Hundley and Joey Marples.

Rodney Keith Hundley, of Liberty, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, November, 29, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was 41 years of age.

Joe David Bennett, 78, of Jamestown, died Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the Russell County Hospital. He was born November 17, 1941 in Russell County to the late Joseph Power & Cora Brown Bennett.

Joe was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and retired as a Tool & Die Maker at General Motors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Renea Waltz; and a brother, Jerry Bennett.

Survivors include

Funeral service for Joe David Bennett will be 2 PM. Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Dunbar and Jason Smith officiating.
Visitation will be 11 AM to 2 PM. Sunday  at the funeral home.
Interment in the Flanagan Cemetery.

Ray Lee Wheat, of Liberty, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.  He was 70 years old. 

Born April 10, 1949, in Russell County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ernest and Nellie Brumley Wheat.  Ray was a mechanic and also enjoyed woodworking and fishing. 

Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Bridwell Wheat of Liberty, whom he wed on August 14, 1972; three sisters, Mae Morgan of Middleburg, Louise Curtsinger of Moreland, and Bessie Worley of Russell Springs; one grandson, Jordan Wheat; and two great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Wheat; one brother, Louis Wheat; and two sisters, Loretta Wheat and Patsy Wheat.

Cremation rites were honored by McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. No services will be held at this time.

Jerry B Blankenship, 72, of Jamestown, KY passed away Monday, November 25th, at his residence. 

Jerry was born in New Castle, IN on August 11, 1947, a son of the late Eva Mae (Lucy) and Audie A. Blankenship. 

Jerry is survived by 
a daughter, Nicole (John) Guzman, of TX; 
three sisters, Wanda Wooldridge, of Jamestown, KY; Venda Lucas, of CA; Golda Crawford, of Campbellsville, KY. 
a brother, Darryl Blankenship, of CA; 

He is also survived by 2 grandchildren 

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Harold and Darwin Blankenship

Ernestine Conner, 89, (formerly of Russell Springs) died Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Episcopal Church Home in Louisville. She was born May 25, 1930 in Russell County to the late Fred Cleo & Bette Sue Murphy Garner.

She was a  Hairdresser and a member of First Baptist Church of Russell Springs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Conner; 2 sons, George Lewis Conner, Dudley O. Conner, Jr,; granddaughter, Jennifer Rebecca Grawemeyer Jordan; 5 sisters, Flora Garner Cundiff, Edna Garner Miller, Ruth Garner Helm, Geneva Garner Coe; 4 brothers; Gordon Garner, Herlan Garner, Joe Garner, Cordell Garner

Survivors include
daughter & son-in-law; Rebecca Jean and Ronald K. Grawemeyer
twin sister: Maxine Garner McMaster
grandsons: Jason & Jeremy Conner
granddaughter: Tessa Conner Lester and Whitney Conner

Kathleen Gibson Savage

Kathleen Gibson Savage left her family on November 27, 2019.  In reality, her amazing energy had left us a while ago but even with her last days, she was still singing. 

She leaves behind her treasured family:  Children Sue Savage Schmidt and Betty Savage Herbert(Betsy), Son-in-laws Jeff Herbert and Karl Schmidt; Grandchildren Mike Garrett (Robin), Jamie Howard (David), Angela Reece Parker, Andrew Reece (Lindsay), Henry Jefferson Herbert (Mia);  Siblings Leon Gibson (Pamela) and Ruth Shive.

          Her great grandchildren are Savanah Garrett, Brock Garrett, Gage Parker, Garrett Parker, Drew Howard and Carlie Howard.  Also surviving are seven great great grandchildren.

          Preceding her in death were parents William Kelly Gibson (Pa Bill) and Eula Garmon Gibson, siblings Albert Gibson, Magalene Phelps, Christine Phelps, Irene Fields, Lonzo Gibson, Lenice Gibson and Lonnie Gibson.

          Kathleen was known as Mama, Grandma, Grandma Kathleen, and rarely Flossie.  She loved her family, flowers, and gardening.  Her kitchen was always open and provided a place for conversation, teasing and laughter.  Her legacy will live on through recipes, mannerisms, and sayings passed to the people that loved her.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Metcalfe County Resource Service Center.

Mr. Clarence Buster Currans was born April 17, 1942 in Georgetown, Kentucky to the late Clarence Currans and Vivian Henage Wright. He departed this life Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, having attained the age of seventy- seven years, 7 months and nine days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Asberry Methodist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran. He worked as a transportation officer and was a branch manager for Lance Inc. Snack Foods.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Clark Currans. Three sons and two daughters in laws: Clark and DaVonna Marshall, Christopher and Tammy Marshall, and Chris Currans. Two daughters: Tonya Marshall and Stephanie Franklin. Two sisters: Anita Duncan and Linda Coyle. Seven Grandchildren: Joshua Thomas, Austin Thomas, Madison Marshall, Trey Marshall, Sarah Franklin, Clayton Franklin, and Emily House. Five Great-Grandchildren: Brooklyn Thomas, Riley Thomas, Kayden House, Khloe House, and Kyler House.

Funeral Services for Mr. Clarence Buster Currans will be conducted Saturday 1 p.m., Central Time at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hayes Cemetery in the Ebenezer Community of Green County.
Visitation is requested from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Central Time, Friday November 29, 2019 at the funeral home.

Glen Helm

Glen Helm, of Liberty, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Liberty Care Center.  He was 85 years of age.

Born August 15, 1934, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Jim and Bertha Fair Helm. Glen was a self-employed truck driver, mechanic, and an US Army Veteran. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, but loved visiting other churches and going to gospel singings.  Glen, along with his wife, Iva Dean, hosted many singings at White House Gospel near their home.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Iva Dean Pennington Helm of Liberty, whom he wed in 1953; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Helm, Howard  Helm, James Helm, and Maurice Helm; and five sisters, Hazel Henson, Margaret Morgan, Shirley Bland, Betty Jo Wilkerson, and Helen Fair.

Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 30, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Brother Ed Parton officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, November 29, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
