Virginia Combest, 90, of Jamestown, KY, passed away Saturday, October 30th, at Grandview Nursing and Rehab, Campbellsville, KY. 

Virginia was born in Jamestown, KY on October 7, 1931, a daughter of the late Dora (Lee) and Johnny Polston. 

Virginia is survived by 
a daughter, Patty Wheat, of Hodgensville, KY; 
a son, Paul Combest, of Jamestown, KY; 
a sister, Barbara Wooldridge, of Columbia, KY; 
a granddaughter Laura (Mervin) Nissley 

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, husband John Duel Combest, and a brother Tommy Polston. 

The family chose care and cremation.

Steve “Weevie” Harris

Steve “Weevie” Harris, of Liberty, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Casey County Hospital. He was 51.

Born on March 16, 1970, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ray Junior and Elaine Mason Harris. Steve was a landscaper. He was a hardworking man that had a heart of gold. He was a great father that loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Daniel Harris; a daughter, Sara (Matt) Harris Acker, of Michigan; two sons, Corey Daniel and Patrick Harris, both of Liberty; a sister, Donna Lee of Liberty; two grandchildren, Tempest Jade and Elaine Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Lesa Davidson; and a brother, Marty Harris.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in Thomastown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.

William Zachary Orberson, age 17 of Lebanon passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born July 26, 2004 in Lebanon, KY. Zack was the sweetest soul you could ever meet! He loved his family and friends with everything in him, as he still is giving us signs, he is still with us! His love for green beans and mustangs will never be forgotten. Zack you will forever remain in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Tyler Orberson; and grandfather, William H. Orberson.

He is survived by his parents, Ronald Orberson and Geana Alford; brothers, Austin Dewayne Orberson, Nathaniel Weston Orberson, and Benjamin Dakota Orberson; sisters, Amber Nicole Simpson, and Chelsey Ann Alford; grandparents, Kathy Alford, Jimmy and Denise Alford, and Judy Orberson; aunts, Mary Alford, Donna Alford, Lynnspain Howard, and Sabrina Oberson; uncles, James Alford, Tommy Alford, and Garland Oberson; nephew, Zaedyn Simpson; also surviving are several close cousins and other family members.

Funeral services
will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 06, 2021 at Bosley Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Charles Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Saturday at Bosley Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Bosley Funeral Home toward funeral expenses.

Connie Sue Tungate, age 65 of Lebanon, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital. She was born November 16, 1955 in Marion County to the late Oscar and Mae Tungate.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Elizabeth Ann Perry.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Louis Tungate; sons, Gary Lee (Betty Jean) Tungate and Matthew Louis Tungate; daughter, Melissa Sue (Johnny Johnson) Tungate; grandchildren, Levi Gary Tungate, Alena Louise Thompson, Waylon Louis Tungate, Wyatt Walter Lee Tungate; also surviving are a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 04, 2021 at Bosley Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Followell officiating. Interment will follow in Hayesville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 03, 2021 at Bosley Funeral Home.

Dorothy Louise Ellery, age 66 of Lebanon, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab. She was born May 17, 1955 in Perryville to the late James Edward and Georgia Lee Moran.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lee Ellery; her parents; sisters, Emma Jean Warner, Katheryn Young, and Mary Lou Hagan; and brother Edward Ray Moran Jr.

Survivors include her step-son, Clifton Yokum of Lancaster; brother, Herbert Moran of Maryland; sisters, Alice Lacy of Tennessee, and Dora Hayden of Springfield; special nieces, Angela Moran, and Tish Quintero; also surviving are several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 05, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Springfield. Visitation will be from 9:15 A.M. until time of service on Friday at the church.

Bosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Martin “Gene” Bickett of Lebanon, son of the late Martin Eugene “Nick” Bickett and Dorothy Ann Cecil Bickett, was born September 21, 1950 in Marion County, Kentucky.  He died at 3:50 P.M., Friday, October 29, 2021 in Campbellsville.                   Age: 71

He professed his faith in Christ and was of catholic faith.

Gene had worked at Fruit of the Loom and later retired from Ingersoll Rand.

He united in marriage to Beverly Farmer January 25, 1975

Besides his wife, Beverly Bickett; Gene is survived by one daughter, Julie Wright and husband, Raymond of Clementsville; one son, Aaron Bickett of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Jacob Wright and Isaiah Wright; five sisters and four brothers: Judy Bickett Masterson and husband, John of New Hope, Brenda Bickett Peake and husband, Larry, Linda Bickett Thompson and husband, Mike, Bill Bickett and wife, Karen, Nell Bickett and wife, Becky Aimesbury, Michael Bickett and wife, Rosie and David Bickett all of Bardstown, Irene  Bickett Downs and husband, Curtis, Kevin Bickett and wife, Dora all of Loretta; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Rheda Mae Smith, age 75 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the home of her daughter. Rheda was born on August 21, 1946 in Cumberland County, KY  to the late Charlie Edward Ballard and Lorene Bryant Ballard. She was a member of Waterview Church of Christ, a former employee of the Bank of Marrowbone and Rite Aid. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harley Smith and two brothers, Larry Ballard and Kermit Ballard. 

Survivors Include:
One Son- Anthony Smith and wife Carolyn of Burkesville, KY
Two Daughters- Stacy McIntyre and husband David of Burkesville, KY and Jennifer Duvall and husband Tim of Albany, KY
One Sister- Mary Frances Norris of Leitchfield, KY
Nine Grandchildren- Kendra McIntyre, Landon McIntyre, Eryn Jones(and Tim), Ethan Smith(and Danielle), Ella Smith, Kimberly Singleton(and Chris), Logan Perry(and Heather), MaKenzie Irwin(Kurtis), Kendel Perry
Three Great Grandchildren- Emerson McIntyre, Dolly Lynn Perry, Mia Kate Irwin, and one expectant great grandson along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Margaret Louise “Maggie” Webb, 67, of Columbia, KY died Friday, October 29, 2021 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.  She was born in Peru, IN on January 10, 1954 to the late John and Shirley Garner.

Maggie was of the Christian faith and never met a stranger, believing in everyone and always seeing the good in people.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her life partner Wayne Benjamin of Columbia, KY; four children Peter Coccagna of Glasgow, KY, Jason Webb (Crystal) of Edmonton, KY, Kristy Willis (Terry) of Columbia, KY and April Morrow of Columbia, KY; eight grandchildren; three siblings Johnny Garner (Diane), Kathy Hughes and Jane Mohler (Bruce) all of Peru, IN and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral survives will be 1:00pm Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in Weed Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday after 10:00am at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Samuel A. Garrison of Campbellsville, son of the late Roy Allen Garrison and Ruth Thomas Garrison, was born May 5, 1932, in Adair County, Kentucky.  He died at 2:56 P.M., Thursday, October 28, 2021 in Lexington.              Age 89

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church and was recently attending The Rock Community Worship Center.

Samuel was a former employee of Parker Kalon and the Campbellsville Water Company where he was a waste water treatment operator.

He united in marriage to Wynema Breeding December 26, 1950.     

Besides his wife, Wynema Garrison of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and one son: Sandra Garrison of Bowling Green and Sammy Garrison and wife, Marchetta of Campbellsville; two grandchildren; Sabrina Garrison of Campbellsville and Spencer Dalton of Georgetown; one sister, Patsy Jenkins of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Samuel was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Lewis Garrison and Eva Baker.

David R. Swords, of Jamestown, KY, passed away after a short illness, October 27th, at Grandview Nursing and Rehab, Campbellsvllle, KY. 

David was born in Akron, OH on July 7, 1931, a son of the late Martha (Griffith) and Leo Swords. 

David was a golf pro at Lost Creek Country Club, in Lima, OH. 1952-1953, the club pro at Wapakoneta Country Club, in Wapakoneta, OH., 1953-1959, was called to the ministry in 1959 attended Gulf Coast Bible College in Houston, TX, 1959-1964. Pastored churches in Reedsburg, WI., Battle Creek, MI., Campbellsville, KY., Ronceverte, and Kenova, W.VA., and Selma, NC., David retired in 2000, moved to Asheville, NC., and in 2009 made Jamestown, KY. his final home. 

David is survived by 
wife Virginia (Patten) Swords, of Jamestown, KY., whom he married January 7, 1951 
two daughters, Belinda (Curtis) Parker, of Texas; 
Velina Swords, of Jamestown, KY; 
a son, Hale Swords, of Jamestown, KY; 
a brother, Larry Swords, of Ohio. 

He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Jason Parker and Madison Swords, 2 great grandchildren Lance and Bonnie Parker 

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bruce, Lloyd, and Chuck Swords, sisters Evelyn Anthony, Betty Loving, and Gloria Schaide 

Memorial Service at at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, Jamestown, KY, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 30th, with Rev. Evan Tedder officiating. 

Friends may visit Saturday 11:00 AM. till time of service at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel. 

Family request memorial donations to the Bunk Bed ministry at the Russell Springs United Methodist Church and can be made at the funeral home.
