He was a Sewer Plant Operator at Gloucester County Utilities Authority for 30 years. He enjoyed Archery and was named World Junior Champion of Archery three years in a row. He also enjoyed being outdoors and deer hunting.
Survived by his wife, Linda K. Thompson Shoemaker of Greensburg having united marriage on September 15, 2019.
Other survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Laura Moore of New Jersey and
Jennifer and Michael Lee of Greensburg; a son and daughter-in-law: Jeremy and Sherry Shuffett of Greensburg; 12 grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law: Susan and Dennis Sebelist of Yulee, Florida; a sister-in-law: Gayle Pennington of Center, Kentucky; special friends: Bill Emerson of New Jersey and Betty Perry of Greensburg; two beloved dogs: Dutchess and Paris; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
William was also preceded by his Grandparents: Henry Corson and Beatrice “Trixie” Smith Corson.
The funeral services for William Henry “Bill” Shoemaker will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Central Time, Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Pierce Community Cemetery. Bro. Mark Lile officiating.
Visitation is requested after 11 A.M., Central Time, Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take form of donations to Hosparus of Green River, which can be made at the funeral home.
