He grew up sharing many memories of fun with his four brothers many cousins. While in high school , Willando enjoyed Art by using his talents to draw all kinds of images of his friends and family. After graduating from Campbellsville High School, Willando decided to serve his country with the Few, the Proud, the Marines. Upon joining the Marines , Willando soon found himself using his artistic talents in their Advertising/Graphic department where he mastered skills that later allowed him to image edit the Spawn Comics Cards and Pogs printed at the former Image Printer now Vivid Impact.
When it came to illustrating, Willando could breath life into an illustration that made you feel the character was real. Through his work, family and friends, Willando always generated love and laughter. He was there to help so many out whether it was a computer problem or teaching someone how to use the many graphic programs Adobe could throw at him. Willando worked among us in many companies from Winston Salem/Greensboro North Carolina to his beloved city of Louisville, Kentucky - which is the home of his favorite team - the Louisville Cardinals! When “Da Cards” as he so loved to say, were playing, Wallando was somewhere Yelling them on!
His loving memory will be cherished by us all. He is survived by his two daughters, Helen Marie Newton and Stephanie Newton, of Greensboro, NC; three brothers, Van Allen Newton of Hodgenville, KY; Jerry Lyn Newton, of Louisville , KY; and Ricardo Lee Newton of Germany, several nieces and nephews, his favorite pet Bruno and so many friends.
Good bye dear father, friend, brother, uncle and soul mate. You will surely be missed!
