Wanda was born on June 17, 1932 in Somerset, KY to the late Edgar Hunt and Eva Phelps Hunt. She was known affectionately by everyone as “Nannie.” She was a homemaker and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Somerset. Her life was centered around her family whom she loved dearly, including her children, grandkids, great grandkids, and nieces and nephews. “Nannie” always found the “good” in anyone she met.
She is survived by two sons, Roger (and Rhonda) Ridener and Dale (and Judy) Ridener both of Somerset, KY; a daughter, Pamela (and Roy) Johnson of Somerset, KY; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jay (and Jenny) Ridener, Jack (and Wilma) Ridener, Rick (and Linda) Ridener, Emaline Bradley and Rose Phelps all of Somerset, KY and Lucille Childers of Whiteland, Ind.; six grandchildren, Nikki (and Zac) Conley of Shepherdsville, KY, Amanda (and Adam) Strader of Muhlenberg Co., Jon (and Tammy) Ridener of Somerset, KY, Aaron (and Laura) Ridener of Mt. Vernon, KY, April (and Chris) Clough of Somerset, KY and Ashley (and Travis) Cromer of Mt. Vernon, KY; three step grandchildren, Cody Smith, Rachel Smith and Jason (and Stephanie) Roberts; one great-grandchild, Jackson Strader and also two more that will be making their appearance in 2016; two step great-grandchildren, Kirschten Roberts and Maleigha Hamilton; special friend, Kara Mounce of Somerset, KY; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Vonis Ridener, who passed away April 14, 2008; three brothers, Kenneth Hunt, Claude Hunt and Clemen Hunt; one infant brother; and three sisters, Zula Dykes, Bessie Fulcher and Christine Phelps.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 after 5:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Stan Childers officiating. Burial will be at Piney Grove Cemetery in Somerset.
