Virginia Rexroat, age 85, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Virginia was born on January 9, 1930 in Mintonville, KY to the late Walter Perkins Minton and Verdia Pitman Minton. She was a caregiver at Oakwood and volunteered at various charities in Somerset and Pulaski County. Virginia is a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Sunday school teacher for over 40 years and a Choir member.
She is survived by three daughters, Celya Meyer of Cincinnati, OH, Donna Metter of Dayton, OH and Judy Hewitt of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters, Edna Minton of Somerset, KY and Norma Jean Johnson of Alexandria, KY; eight grandchildren, Michelle Connor, Melissa Armor, Carrie Humphrey, Brian Mahedy, Chistopher Scott Losekamp, Connie Renee Ratliff, Rob Buchanan and Jennifer Buchanan; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Minton; three sisters, Helen Weddle, Roxie Bow and Anna Randolph; and two infant sisters, Priscilla Minton and Irene Minton.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will follow the visitation on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Gilbert Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Carter Ridge Cemetery.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
