Born May 30, 1933 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ora and Mary Wall Napier. She was a homemaker and member of the Revival Tabernacle in Lexington, KY. Violet loved to crochet, yard sale, and read. She adored her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond L. Fraley, who died May 28, 2010; a brother, Vernon Napier; and two sisters, Vivian Kraft and Berniece Conder.
Survivors include her children, Wendell (and Teresa) Brown of Lexington, Sharon “Cookie” (and Jim) Hedrick of Liberty, Debbie (and Bobby) Tudor of Lancaster,and Karen Brown of Liberty; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Velma Bastin of Liberty; two brothers-in-law, Bob Kraft of Lebanon and Clarence (and Betty) Fraley of Harlan, KY; special friend, Sharon Scott of Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 4, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Brad King officiating. Burial will follow in Casey County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is Friday, June 3, 2016 from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and will continue Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503 in memory of Violet M. Fraley.
Pallbearers are Jim Hedrick, Mike Brown, Jordan Brown, Shawn Martin, Donovan Hamm, and Daniel Cheeseman. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Luttrell, Jimmy Patterson, Bobby Tudor, Robbie Tudor, Jonathon Dailey and Garry Rowland.
