Vestora Grant, 86, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, formerly of Fairplay and Columbia, died Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:10 P.M. at the Taylor Regional Hospital
She was born July 2, 1929, in Adair County, to the late Arnold and Willie Burbridge Coomer. She married Sanford Grant on April 16, 1949 and he preceded her in death on August 27, 1998. She lived in Illinois for 10 years and worked at Kool-Aid and S.O.S. Pad Company. She moved to Adair County and worked at Osh Kosh B’Gosh for over 28 years. She was a long time member of Old Concord United Methodist Church in Fairplay, but after moving to Columbia, she moved her membership to Beulah Chapel Brethren in Christ Church.
Survivors include:
Two sons – Danny (Jeanette) Grant and Dennis (Sally) Grant all of Columbia
One brother – Rollen (Myrna) Coomer of Columbia
One sister – Carolyn (Charles) Jones of Columbia
Five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two nephews, one great-nephew and a host of other relatives and friends
Vestora requested that no public visitation or funeral be held and no flowers are to be sent
