Veston R. Stephens, 87, of Russell Springs, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow. He was born August 20, 1928 in Russell County to the late Aquilee & Ima George Stephens.
He was a retired General Electric employee and owned & operated Stephens Shoe Store for many years. He was a member of Main Street Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Etta Stephens; 3 brothers, Jack, Chester, & Paul David Stephens and 1 sister, Phyllis Antle
Survivors include
3 children: Terry (Pam) Stephens; Brenda (Danny) Hill, and Robin (Maddie) Stephens, all of Russell Springs.
2 grandchildren: Robin Cochran, Alexander Siers-Stephens
2 great grandchildren: Maddie & Andrew Hayes
1 sister: Joyce Popplewell, Russell Springs
Funeral service for Veston R. Stephens will be 2 PM. Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Spivey and Bro. Ted Stidham officiating.
Visitation after 5 PM. Thursday.
Interment in the Bernard Cemetery.
