Mrs. Susan Virginia “Gin” Yocum, age 80 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at her residence. She was born on December 29, 1935 in Marion County, KY. Mrs. Yocum was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom, and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by: Husband: Albert Henry Yocum; Parents: George Ohrius Porter and Helen Porter; Daughter: Mary Julita Yocum; Three Brothers: Frank, J.L. and Adrian Porter; Sister: Beatrice Washington.
Survivors include: Five Sons: William Yocum—Weatherford, TX, George (Harriet) Yocum—St. Mary’s, KY, John (Jeanie) Yocum—St. Mary’s, KY, Michael (Gam) Yocum—Lebanon, KY, Steven (Linda) Yocum—California; Four Daughters: Susan Yocum—Lebanon, KY, Sarah Yocum—Lebanon, KY, Angela (Gary) Crenshaw—Lebanon, KY, Jennifer Yocum—Fayetteville, NC; Brother: Neal Porter—Lebanon, KY; Three Sisters: Josie (William) Spalding—Lebanon, KY, Nannie (Emmett) McKay—Lebanon, KY, Margaret Spalding—Lebanon, KY.
Also surviving are thirty-one grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Charles Catholic Church. Interment to follow in St. Charles Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:30 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 at Bosley Funeral Home, with prayer services being held at 7:00 p.m.
