Steve Edgar Roberts, age 58, departed this life on March 3, 2016 at his residence.
Steve was born on March 23, 1957 in Somerset, KY to the late Milburn and Opal Leigh Roberts.
He is survived by a son, Dennis (and Jennifer) Roberts of Louisville, KY; a brother, Gerald (and Shirley) Roberts of Nancy, KY; a very special companion, Kim Hamilton of Nancy, KY;
a niece, Dana (and Tim) Kirkland of Lancaster, KY; a great niece, Ella Kirkland of Lancaster, KY; his former wife, Kathy Roberts of Somerset, KY; and other special family members, Becky (and Johnny) Speaks of Science Hill, KY; Brent Hamilton of Liberty, KY; and Shawn Cundiff of Science Hill, KY.
Steve enjoyed farming, working on guns and making rifles. He loved being outdoors and helping his neighbors.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Josh Roberts; and an infant brother, Dennis Roberts.
Visitation will be on Saturday March 5, 2016 at 5:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Sunday March 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Gilbert Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Weddle Cemetery in Faubush, KY.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
