
Sereal was the son of the late Talmadge and Flora Lay. Mr. Lay was a native of Forest, MS and a U. S. Army Veteran. He was a member of First Baptist Church serving as a Deacon, member of the Golden Tones Quartet, Male Chorus, Senior Choir and the Senior Saints. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie, Milton, Hyram and Freddie and one sister Liz.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora Lay of Glendale, KY; three sons, Sereal Lay, Jr. (Barbara) of Killeen, TX, Willie Lay (Melissa) of Elizabethtown, and Danny Macon of Gasden, AL; 5 daughters A. Waynel Lay of Radcliff, KY, Avis L. Burrow (Mario) of San Antonio, TX, Carmen Macon of Gasden, AL, Claudia Macon of Gasden, AL, and Jennett Cross of Koscusao, MS; one brother, Bobby Lay (Bonnie) of Forest, MS; one sister, Mary Barney of Forest, MS; 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 27, 2015, from 4 to 7 pm at Percell & Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral will be Monday, December 28, 2015 at 12 noon at First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, KY with Dr. B. T. Bishop officiating.
Burial will be Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY with full military honors.
