She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Maple Hill United Methodist Church. She was retired from factory work after 65 years. She was a machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. and the former Campbellsville Apparel. Rosie was a happy person. She had a love for everyone, and also saw the good in everyone. She also loved to sing and go fishing. She will be greatly missed.
She united in marriage to Shelby Louis Meadows on March 11, 1959 who preceded her in death on February 2, 1981.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Donna and Bradley Mitchell of Greensburg; a son: David Meadows of Greensburg; five grandchildren: Jamie Jeffries, Renae Meadows, Hallie Meadows, Hayden Meadows all of Greensburg, and Heaven Meadows of Adair County; a great-grandchild: Aleeah Woodson; a brother: Jerry Matney of Indiana; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son: Daryl Timothy Meadows on August 30, 2021; and siblings: Eva Jewell, Juanita Rock, Junnie Matney, Dennis Matney, William Matney, Garland Matney, and Maxie Matney.
The funeral services for Rosie Nell Matney Meadows will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 31, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is requested from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Sunday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Monday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family memorial fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
