Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, March 11th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4pm Tuesday.
Roger E. "Red" Botts 89 of Glasgow died Sunday, March 8, 2015 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Glasgow he was the son of the late William Earl and Annie Mae Cox Botts. Mr. Botts worked in construction for John Botts and Ernest Simpson Construction companies for many years. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and attended New Salem United Methodist Church. He is survived by two sons Stephen Botts (Nancy) and Philip Botts (Cyndie) both of Glasgow; four grandchildren Jason Botts (Brandy), Tevis Smith (Hayley), Tana and Traz Smith; two great-grandchildren Saylor Morgan Botts and Brayden Bartley Botts; one sister Earlene Turner (Clay) of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Edna Ruth Bartley Botts, three brothers and sisters-in-law Norris (Opal) Botts, Lawrence (Louise) Botts and John (Margaret) Botts, and one sister Murlene Walker (Johnie).
