Robert “Bob” Hopkins passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at his home in Nicholasville, KY. He was 88.
Born May 30, 1927 in Crab Orchard, KY, he was the son of the late Adrian Hopkins and Mary Wells Pruitt. He was retired from General Motors in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of the Liberty First Baptist Church and a United States Navy veteran. He was an avid history buff. “Bob” loved the outdoors and was a devoted UK basketball fan.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Fannin Hopkins; a daughter, Bobbi Sue (and Jamie) Morgan of Lexington; a grandson, Blake Morgan of Lexington; a nephew, Robert Durbin, Jr. of Richmond; and sister, Thelma Christopherson of Fairborn, Ohio.
Graveside services are 4:00 P.M. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Glenwood Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Casey County Funeral Honor Guard.
