Richard Marshall Goode, 85,of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, January 25, 2016 at 10:17 P.M. at Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. 

He was born March 24, 1930, in Adair County, to the late Clarence and Nannie Hardin Goode.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, L.J. Goode. 

He was a member and Deacon of Tabernacle Christian Church where he accepted Christ as his Savior at a young age. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of VFW Post 6097 and a retired farmer. 

Survivors include: 
His wife of 57 years, Lulabell Overstreet Goode of Columbia 
Two daughters – Cindy Compton and husband Jerry of Fairplay, Sandy Abernathy and husband Tim of Russell Springs 
One sister – Opal Watson of Columbia 
One sister-in-law – Mary Goode of Columbia 
Two grandchildren – Matthew Compton of Columbia, Taylor Abernathy of Russell Springs 
Three step-grandchildren – Jerry Wayne Compton and Michael Compton both of Columbia, Kelli Parson and husband Patrick of Bowling Green 
Five step-great-grandchildren, three step-great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends 

Funeral service – Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Eldon Rucker and Bro. Terry White officiating 

Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery 

Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Thursday 

Nephews will be Casket Bearers 

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
