
Born June 24, 1954 in Taylor County, KY, he was the son of the late James Maurice and Mary Anita Wethington. He was a former employee of the Kentucky Department of Transportation. Randy was an Army veteran and a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Karen Hicks Wethington of Liberty, whom he married June 1, 1974; two daughters, Melanie Wethington and Lyndsay Wethington both of Liberty; two grandchildren, Gracie and Ryder Wilson; two brothers, Johnnie (and Wilma) Wethington and David (and Pam) Wethington both of Liberty; six sisters, Viva (and Clement) Woodrum, Brenda Roy, Carla (and Gary) Johnson, Lisa Goode, Teresa Garrett, and Gina (and Merl) Hogue all of Liberty ; father-in-law, James “Jimbo” Hicks of Liberty; brother- in-law, Barry (and Rachel) Hicks of Garrard County; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, James Dean Wethington; a sister, Mary Jean Wethington; and mother-in- law, Evelyn Hicks.
Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at St. Bernard Catholic Church with Father Edmound Ari officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Prayers at 6:00 PM.
Pallbearers are his nephews.
