He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from Gates Rubber Company, and he is a retired truck driver. He was united in marriage to Priscilla Ann Skaggs, who preceded him in death September 28, 2015. Besides his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Don and Bill Skaggs and Margie Scott.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law: Damon Skaggs of Green County and Josh and Shyler Skaggs of Hudgins; two daughters and sons-in-law: Lisa and Larry Pierce of Greensburg and Kim and Mark Sexton of Hardyville; one brother: Kenneth Skaggs and his wife Priscilla, ten grandchildren: Kyle and Kaleb West, Matt Sexton and his wife Tiffany, Joey Sexton and his wife Lori, Jake Sexton and his wife Morgan, Jonathon, Bryan, Zakiya, and Everleigh Skaggs and Braylen Wells and nine great grandchildren: Bryson and Keyleigh Sexton, Chandon, MaKennah, and Elias Sexton, Jayden, Mia and Dawson Sexton and Layton West, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
Place and time of services: 11 a.m,, Central Time, Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
Visitation: 4 until 8 p.m., Central Time, Saturday and after 7 a.m., Central Time, Sunday.
