Mrs. Anna Bell Smith, age 95 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Village of Lebanon. She was born on September 9, 1920 in Richmond, KY. Mrs. Smith was the owner and operator of Bob Dot Beauty Shop and a member of the following; Monday Study Club, Seekers and Mission Circle, Tuesday and the Friday Bridge Club. She was also a member of Lebanon United Methodist Club, and the Powell Chapter O.E.S. # 266 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter "J.W." Smith, Jr. (2007); parents, Bert A. and Amanda Jean Stephens Van Winkle; granddaughter, Amanda Gwinn Sancataldo.
Survivors include five daughters, Jean Reed, of Lexington, KY, Mona Jo Smith-Awad, of Lebanon, KY, and Jerusalem, Israel, Sondra (Dick) Gwinn, of Lebanon, KY, Pam (Jim) Bruton, of Fruitland Park, FL, Anna Lisa (Brad) Howard, of Nicholasville, KY; brother, Deward E. "Jack" Van Winkle, of Lebanon, KY. Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Lebanon United Methodist Church, officiated by Dr. Chris Howlett with assistance from Rev. Darren Gillespie and Rev. Joseph Aina. Interment to follow in Ryder Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Bosley Funeral Home with Eastern Star services being held at 8:00 p.m.
