Mitchell Clayton Bunch 69 of Glasgow died Saturday December 19, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Cave City, KY the son of the late Leroy & Dora Mae Waddell Middleton Bunch. Mitchell was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, with over 28 years of service and two tours of duty in Vietnam. He is a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5906 and served as their Senior Vice Commander from 2004-2008. Mitchell was a member of Caveland Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Robyn Hill Bunch of Glasgow; daughter Michelle Willoughby (Cory) of Glasgow; 2 sons Joey Clayton Bunch of Ft. Run and T.J. Thompson (Leanne) of Newport, NC; 8 grandchildren Chelsea W. Hodges (Tyler) of Glasgow, Coty Willoughby (Erica) of Horse Cave, Courtney Hardin (Billy) Brownsville, Colton Watt (Chena) of Horse Cave, Cassie Jo Bunch of Leitchfield, Isabell Thompson of Newport, NC, Caitlyn Bunch of Leitchfield and Olivia Thompson of Newport, NC; 3 great grandchildren Julia Marie Hardin, Lilah Jean Hodges and Abel Dale Clayton Hardin; brother Dennis D. Bunch (Sandy) of Cave City; several nieces, nephews and his loving pets Sydney, Paisley & Leah also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his step father Hilliard Waddell; 3 brothers Michael Bunch, Melvin Russell Bunch and Bobby Gale Bunch.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday December 23, 2015 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after 11:00am Tuesday December 22, 2015 at the funeral home.
