Maxine was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Tabernacle. She enjoyed cooking and quilting. Recently, she loved visiting ‘Just Family’ adult day center. Ms. Fair loved her children. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Survivors include one daughter, Jo Ann Fair of Elkhorn; one son, James (and Ruth Ann) Fair of Hustonville; one sister, Maurine Browning of Franklin, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Adam and Chad; and six great-grandchildren, Austin, Seth, Luke, Lexie, Devin and Anson.
In addition to her parents, Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Vitus Fair; three sisters, Gladys Haste, Irene Russell and Marie Fugate. She is also predeceased by three brothers, Hobert Martin, Deward Martin and Hayden Martin.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Naylor officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
