She was married to the love of her life, James R. Perkins, for 56 years when he passed in 2003. She was baptized into Christ in Greasy Creek during a Gospel Meeting, and served the Lord faithfully as a member of the Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Green County High School. After raising her children she worked 6 years in the cafeteria at Taylor County High School, a job that she loved. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Homemakers club, an outstanding cook, and supportive of all of her children’s endeavors.
She is survived by one daughter, Patty Reynolds (Steven) of Campbellsville Kentucky and 3 sons: Kenny Perkins (Dian) of Franklin, Kentucky; Jim Perkins (Denise) of Georgetown, Kentucky; and Bill Perkins (Elayne) of Athens, Alabama. She has 8 grandsons and 3 granddaughters; 21 great grand children and 1 great-great grandchild and a great many friends in Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.
She is preceded in death by 1 daughter, Peggy Clark (Steve) of Campbellsville.
