He was born September 2, 1933, in Irvine, KY, to the late Amile and Ethel Clemons Thomas. He was a member of Columbia Church of Christ, a US Navy Veteran and a retired industrial painter.

Seven great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild
