Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church and a proud 1969 graduate of Glasgow High School. While attending Glasgow High School her passion was the Glasgow Scottie Band serving as a Majorette. Over the years she enjoyed following her husband and the band Myst of Tyme as an honorary member, always requesting the band finish with her favorite song “Old Fifty-Five”. Linda also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially “The Rowdy Girls” and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Harold “MD” Armstrong of Glasgow, KY; three children Amber Hatton of Glasgow, KY, Ali Johnson (Markus) of Eugene, OR, and Aaron Armstrong (Tiffany) of Glasgow, KY; six grandchildren Tess Burd (Gavin), Maddey Hatton, Boone Hatton, Jacob Armstrong, Lily Armstrong, and Cora Johnson; a sister Bonita Downey; a sister-in-law Sheila Harris, and a niece and nephew Brandy Lawson (O’Dail) and Max Smith.
Mrs. Armstrong chose cremation, and a private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
