Lena Mae Leathers, 84, of Danville went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born July 16, 1931 in Lincoln Co., she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Margaret “Maggie” Nichols Daugherty. She had worked at Palm Beach and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Leathers, Jr., 1 son, Butch Leathers and 1 grand daughter, Kelly Smith.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Martha Leathers of Danville and Becky (Wayne) King of Parksville; 6 grandchildren: Hershell “Junie” Smith, Sondra Daugherty, Carl (Jenna) Leathers, Carla (Kevin) Arnold, Kris Leathers, Joshua Smith and 8 great grandchildren, Kiersten, Levi, Kaylee, Luke, Hayes, Hensley, Abigail and Isabella.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Rev. Dr. Quentin Scholtz with burial in Danville Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. on Tues.
