Judy Campbell Petrey, age 62, of Somerset, KY., departed this life on Tuesday February 2, 2016 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN.
Judy was born on February 6, 1953 in Richmond, IN., to the late Larry and Margie Walters Shelton. She was a Christian and loved to crochet, cook, and spend time with her granddaughter and her family. She was a big fan of Elvis and Dolly Parton and loved helping people through her job as a Physical Therapist Assistant and also working with children through the Helping Hands Program.
She is survived by her husband, James Petrey, two daughters, Julie Petrey and Teresa (and William) Duncan, all of Somerset; one brother, Earl Campbell Jr. of Cynthiana, KY; two sisters, Sue Mullins of Shepherdsville, KY and Barbara (and Erasmo) Diaz of Berea, KY; one brother-in-law, Ernie Bishop of Brodhead, KY; three grandchildren, Kahlan Duncan of Somerset, Ashley Duncan, and Breanna Duncan, both of Stearns, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Larry and Margie Shelton, she is preceded in death by one sister, Flossie Bishop, an infant brother, David Campbell, and one sister-in-law, Kay Campbell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday February 5, 2016 at 6:00 pm the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Stacey officiating.
