John Rufus Crew of Liberty, KY passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 at St. Joseph East in Lexington, KY. He was 83.
Born March 7, 1932 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Lewis Virgil and Inez Ragle Crew. He was a farmer and sawmill worker. John was a member of the Bradley Pleasure Baptist Church and attended the Liberty Adult Day Care.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Violet Carter Crew, who passed away April 4, 2009; four brothers, Lloyd, Carlos , Beachel and Eldie Crew; and a sister, Gail Andrews.
Survivors include three sons, Billy and Timmy Crew both of Liberty and Jeff Crew of Stanford; a daughter, Margo Moore of Liberty; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Curtis and Arvin Crew both of Liberty; and a sister, Fredia McCormick of Liberty.
Graveside services are 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 10, 2015 at Hilltop Full Gospel Church Cemetery with Bro. Ricky Stump officiating. Burial will follow service.
Pallbearers are Stephen Crew, Randy Harrison, Mike Andrew, Craig Andrew, Landan Andrew, Tyler Harrison, Tom Harrison and Allen Michael Poff.
