
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church. He was retired from civil service in Fort Knox and was a farmer.
Survived by his wife, Lillian Trowbridge Moore of Greensburg having united in marriage on August 18, 1962.
Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Richard and Pam Moore of Campbellsville; a daughter and son-in-law: Melissa and Tracy Young of Greensburg; three grandchildren: Trevor Young and his wife, Marsha of Greensburg, John Moore, and Kyle Moore both of Campbellsville; a sister: Hazel Milam of Louisville; a sister-in-law: Shelby Moore of Greensburg; a brother-in-law: Gwuin Curry of Henry County; and a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Moore was also preceded in death by a brother: William "Bill" Moore; and a sister: Jeannie Curry.
The funeral services for Mr. John Richard Moore will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Bro. Gleason Bloyd and Bro. Freddie Thompson will be officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Wednesday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association, which can be made at the funeral home.
