Jim Tom Murley 70 of Glasgow died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at T. J. Samson Hospital. Born in Monroe County, he was the son of the late Marvin and Neva Walden Murley. Jim Tom was retired from South Central Rural Telephone Co-op where he was a lineman, installer and repairman and was a member of the Temple Hill Baptist Church. His hobbies included raising and riding his horses and truck pulling. He was a member of the KPTA.
He is survived by his wife Abbie Gentry Murley; one son Tim Murley of Daytona Beach, FL; two grandsons Jonathan (Breanna) Murley of Etoile and Charlie (Paige) Murley of Mt. Hermon; a sister Vivian Fisher of Glasgow and a sister-in-law Anna Marie Murley of Mt. Hermon. He was preceded in death by a brother Junior Murley.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 21st at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11am Wednesday at the funeral home.
