Born December 12, 1943, he was the son of the late Arvin and Chloe Taylor Traylor. He was Navy veteran and a machinist for Ertles in Indianapolis, Indiana for fifteen years. Jim was a member of Shepherds Chapel. He loved to ride horses and target shoot.
Survivors include his wife, Fredia Cook Traylor, whom he married April 3, 1965; two daughters, Shirley (and Eddie) Holt and Sherry (and Lewis) Doss, both of Liberty; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette Edwards of Indianapolis, Indiana.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Mike Traylor; and three sisters, Lucille Owens, Agnes Williams and Ella Porter.
Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 6, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Strong Horse officiating. Burial will follow in Hustonville Cemetery with military honors by the Casey County Honor Guard.
Visitation is Friday from 11:00 A.M. until funeral service.
