Born November 26, 1954 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Cornelius Stephens and Nettie Ann Pevley Stephens. He was a logger and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Negia Coffman Stephens of Liberty; a son, Jeremy Stephens of Liberty; a daughter, Jessica Stephens of Liberty; three grandchildren; two half-brothers, Garvey and Mervin Stephens both of Cynthiana; three sisters, Angie Davis of Liberty, Devonda Luttrell of Liberty, and Judy Sharp of Dunnville; and a half-sister, Roseleen Luttrell of Windsor.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Hollis Pevley, Jackie Stephens, and Carroll Stephens;and a sister, Jewell Stone.
Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 13, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Spaw officiating. Burial will follow in Peavey Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, April 12, 2015 after 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
