Jeanice Murrell 73 of Columbia, KY passed away, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 10:15

A. M. at the Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY after several months illness.

She was born in Cane Valley, KY on April 15, 1942 the daughter of the late: Elza and Myrtle Watson Hare she was preceded in death by her step father Gaither Hancock and her husband: Gene Murrell in 2001.

Jeanice was a member of the Cane Valley Christian Church where she participated in the J O Y Circle, she was a registered nurse and worked with various home health agencies in the area for many years, she was a past president of the Columbia Women's Club and was a volunteer for the Adair County Food Pantry.

Survived by two step children: Vickie Wright of Cincinnati, Ohio and Michael Murrell of Tennessee

One sister Brenda Brumley of Jamestown, KY

One brother Keith Hancock and wife Barbara of Cane Valley, KY

Three step grandchildren and three nephews survive and by several other relatives and friends

Funeral service Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary

Funeral Home. Clergy officiating Bro. Ivan Tucker. Interment in the Cane Valley Cemetery

Visiation from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Friday and after 6:00 AM Saturday until the funeral time at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Cane Valley Christian Church or the Parkinson Support Center of Kentuckiana 315 Townepark Circle Suite 100, Louisville, KY 40243-2338 and may be left at the funeral home.
