She was born February 15, 1936, in Firebrook, Ohio, to the late John Hellard and Violet Woodruff Canter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Tommy D. Pike in 1984, three children, Dale Pike, Pam Flannery, Debbie Hurst and one sister, Judy Mann. She was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of Pioneer Baptist Church in Harrodsburg and retired as a welder from Modine Manufacturing in Harrodsburg

One daughter – Barbara Key of Columbia
One step-son – Gary Moss of Frankfort
Two step-daughters – Brenda Vernia of Indiana and Renee Moss of Frankfort
Two brothers – Howard and Bill Canter both of Ohio
One sister – Geri Harrison of Ohio
Seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and friends, including a special friend, Peggy Wooley

Burial in Middleburg Cemetery in Casey County
