James Wilson, of Liberty KY, passed away Saturday January 9, 2016 in Lexington at the VA Medical Center. He was 66.
Born September 14, 1949 in Casey County, Kentucky, he is the son of James and the late Stella Jones Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a sawmill worker and enjoyed the outdoors while hunting and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Other survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, whom he married February 19, 1972; two sons, James David and Gerald Oscar Wilson, both of Liberty; two daughters, Connie Sue (Tim) Robertson and Carla (John) Durham, both of Liberty; five grandchildren, LeAnn Durham, Wade Durham, Abbie Durham, Erin Clark and Megan Robertson; three brothers, Johnny, Steven and Jerry (Sherri) Wilson, all of Liberty; one sister, Betty Gadberry of Liberty.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Staton.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 10, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Ted Stidham officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery, with military honors by the Casey County Honor Guard. Visitation is Sunday, from 11:00 A.M. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
