Mr. James Lawrence Thompson, age 61 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016. He was born on June 26, 1954 in Marion County, KY. Mr. Thompson worked as a mechanic at Limestone Farm, Lawn and Worksite Company and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Leo Thompson; sister, Geralyn Thompson Schmitt.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Richerson Thompson, of Lebanon, KY; mother, Wilma Thomas Thompson, of Lebanon, KY; son, James Corey (Amanda) Thompson, of Lebanon, KY; two daughters, Kimberly (Brian) Mudd, and Kristin (Chad) Spalding, both of Lebanon, KY; three brothers, Earl (Jennifer) Thompson, Jeffery (Patricia) Thompson and Kevin (Debbie) Thompson, all of Lebanon, KY; three sisters, Suzanne (Terry) Mattingly, of Lebanon, KY, Mary Lou (Jeff) Hale, of Tennessee, Betty Jo (Terry) Phelps, of Louisville, KY; five grandchildren, Trevor and Briley Mudd, Cadin and Kylie Spalding, Paisley Thompson; brother-in-law, Rob Schmitt, of Louisville, KY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, celebrated by Rev. Jim Graf. The family has chosen cremation following the funeral mass.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bosley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Joe Dant.
