Imogene “Gene” Mayfield

Imogene “Gene” Mayfield, daughter of the late William “Bill” Walter and Emma Leland Inabnitt Raney, was born September 10, 1929 and she departed this life on Saturday, March 26, 2016 having attained the age of 86 years.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Bethel Mayfield, he survives. Other survivors include; three children, Brent (and Gloria) Mayfield, Roger (and Brenda) Mayfield, and Randy (and Cindy) Mayfield; six grandchildren, Wes Bradds, Missy Bradds, Andrew Mayfield, Josh Mayfield, and Ben Lindsay and Brian Mayfield, and one sister, Wilda Ray (and Dean) Simpson and one brother–in–law, Larry Short.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Joey Mayfield, and the following brothers and sisters, Eva Marie Raney, Ralph Luther Raney, Erma Raney, Elmo Vonis Raney, Ivadean Raney and Lella Fern Raney Short.

Imogene was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Aaron Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery at Nancy, Kentucky.

The family of Mrs. Imogene “Gene” Mayfield will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 31st until time for services.
