Hazel Beasley, age 66, of Nancy, KY, departed this life on February 11, 2016 in Sydney, OH.
Hazel was born on July 31, 1949 in McCreary Co. KY, to Carrie Worley Phillips and the late Reverend Gilbert Phillips. She was retired from Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital where she had worked as a food service employee. Hazel loved gospel music, and reading her bible. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Nancy.
Hazel is survived by her mother, Carrie Phillips of Sidney, OH; a son, Michael Wayne (and Shelly) Beasley of Nancy, KY; a daughter, Rhonda Michelle (and Steve) Hughes of Nancy, KY; three brothers, Raymond (and Myrna) Phillips of Eubank, KY, Ray (and Barbara) Phillips of Kings Mountain, KY, and Ron Phillips of Sidney, OH; a sister, Wanda (and Jerry) Turner of Sidney, OH; five grandchildren, David Michael Beasley of Somerset, KY, Timothy Michael Gray, Joshua Garrett Gray, Lydianna Paige Mink, Kylianne Grace Beasley, all of Nancy, KY; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Beasley, whom she married on December 10, 1967 in Somerset, KY and preceded her on October 9, 2011; and a grandson, Daniel Phillip Hughes.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church.
Her funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 1:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church with Bro. Murrell Crockett officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
The family request expressions of sympathy be made to the Gideon’s Bible Program.
